Hear hear. For all I know E-gold's charges are quite justified. Is
Mr. Evans involved in other online currencies at present? Has he made
any statements denying or otherwise the charges? Why were these
employees terminated last year anyway?

More info would be appreciated.

"A defendant is innocent until proven guilty" only applies in the case of
criminal charges. Criminal charges can only be issued by a government.
This does not mean that Charles is automatically the 'good guy'. It also
means that he isn't automatically the 'bad guy'. Same thing goes for G&SR.
Everybody is neutral until we actually get some real facts about what is
going on.

e-gold ltd. should not be able to file *any* lawsuits. Filing a lawsuit
entails taking on liabilities (i.e legal retainers, court fees, etc...),
correct? e-gold ltd. cannot, and does not, hold *any* liabilities.

Some people seem to be waiting, sitting on the edge of their seat, for
e-gold to do something, anything, that they can then rant & rave about.
They'll look for any opportunity to declare that e-gold is unfit,
unwanted, unusable, unetc...

Why? People seem to be having so much fun ripping into the big, bad, evil
e-gold. We wouldn't want actual facts to spoil it all now, would we?

I'll have to disagree on that one. Waiving the right to file _any_ lawsuits
puts them in the position of being able to ripped off by anyone without fear
of reprisal. It would be the legal equivalent of gun control, b.k.a. victim
disarmament.

Which is the greater liability--having a bazillion dollars in your house and
the possibility of legal reprisal if you shoot someone who breaks in (or who
you _think_ is breaking in), or having a bazillion dollars in your basement
and letting the whole world know that you refuse to defend it with force?

Besides, if legal retainers, courts fees and such things are "liabilities,"
well, gee wiz doesn't e-gold limited already pay rent, utilities and
employee salaries?

I also think the lawsuit under discussion was filed by Gold & Silver
Reserve, not e-gold, ltd., but that is not relevant to my point.
