[Elecraft] Elecraft CW Net Announcement

Good Evening,

   It has not snowed in two days.  It got sunny and mild today so I 
took a walk.  This winter's storm damage is localized to only a few 
areas.  Those received heavy snow loads followed by high winds.  There 
are a variety of failure modes.  All of the ferns are crushed flat to 
the ground, walking is easier when you can navigate the mountain beaver 
communities.  Lots of elk sign as they locate new paths through the area.


   Remember when the sun was blank?  You could predict propagation, 
even though it was mostly poor.  The way the sun has been acting the 
last few weeks has made it hard to know when you can make contact.  
However, the rate of flux is high, sunspots are numerous and active, 
with a forecast of no CMEs in the near future.  Maybe conditions will be 
OK.  You never know until you try.

[Elecraft] Seeking used KX2

I am also hoping to find a used KX2. I don't have a car but would love to
do some POTA activating, particularly in June when I'll be in Colorado for
a wedding with a rented car. I know it's a longshot. 

Thanks for the clarification.  I recognize that dealing with estate matters can 
be a challenge for all concerned and I’m sure the family appreciates your 
willingness to help.  

When it comes to ’selling’, I submit that ’subtle hints’ won’t cut it which is 
why I asked the question. One cannot assume that someone will take the time to 
open a website, look at QRZ, or take either measures to try to determine where 
the items in question might be located. Instead, if the seller doesn’t bother 
to provide a geographical reference, your potential buyer won’t bother to do 
the research and will simply ignore the posting as the likelihood is that it 
will be outside their relative geography.  

Bottom line is that it generally a good idea to provide appropriate location 
information in the initial announcement to help create interest.

It would be helpful if you at least provided city/state of where the equipment 
is located.  This information might encourage other to follow up with you if 
indeed the equipment is relatively close to their area.  I also know that there 
are some folks who purchase estate items and resell at hamfests.  Thus, knowing 
where this equipment is located might encourage further interest.

a member who has become a silent key, to assist with the disposition of his 
equipment.
I was recently contacted and asked to help with a complete K3 station, K3,P3, 
KPA500 & KAT500. There are also some other peripheral devices, power supplies, 
wattmeters, switches and power distribution boxes.The family has asked me to 
act as an intermediary. As such, if you would like any further information as 
to availability, price, options, condition, etc., please email me and I will 
get back to you and, if warranted, put you in touch with the family. Neither I 
nor the club are making anything on this. It's unfortunate, but this is the

[Elecraft] Elecraft W2 Watt Meter with Couplers

For Sale are 2 Elecraft W2 watt meters with 2 directional couplers for 
each one.


Each watt meter has one coupler for HF – 6 meters 200 watts and one 
coupler for HF – 6 meters 2000 watts. They include all cables for the 
sensors, power cables and USB cables as supplied by Elecraft. Manuals 
are available on Elecraft web site. They are both in very good condition 
and work fine.


Price for one watt meter and 2 couplers and cables is $495.00 each.
All prices include shipping. I will take money order or a personal check 
and hold until it clears.

Bill,
    I found one, near me in MA!  It should go good with my K2, K3 and 
K4.  I needed a small portable rig for traveling and thought a KX2 or 
KX3 would be perfect, found a KX3 just 40 miles from me, going to get it 
either later today or tomorrow, not sure which yet.

Rob,

I feel your pain.  I do EE work for a car manufacture.   Aluminum and 
stainless steel are near impossible to get.  Microcontrollers and other semis 
are not in stock and currently show 52 weeks lead time.  When you can get metal 
and chips you pay a dear premium.  It has been that way since nearly the 
beginning of the pandemic.  Most people don't understand that we are 
experiencing a full out trade war.  I have no idea when this all will end, but 
at this point it is a very bleak situation.  I really hope Elecraft can survive 
the supply chain war.  I am witnessing the same situation every day.

have been since January.
