[Elecraft] Announcing the Elecraft KH1: A hand-held, 5-band transceiver for SOTA...and beyond
Sir, This new XCVR looks very attracting. I read the https://elecraft.com/products/kh1-transceiver pages, downloaded the manual and read it. I have one first question: what are the transmitting band edges? Are they fixed according to the country where the XCVR is sold? Can they be set by a menu? 73 - Pierre - FK8IH __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com
[Elecraft] Elecraft CW Net Announcement
Good Evening, More color changes and fewer leaves let me see the birds more easily. During a burst of heavy rain I watched a number of Varied Thrushes using transient puddles to wash up. I thought birds sat under cover when it rained; they were enjoying the downpour. Two CMEs may hit today. The sun is mostly bare. There is a lower rate of flux too. The bands should both be capable of comms. There may even be less QSB if those CMEs don't hit us. Dense fog slows or stops my Internet connection though HF gets through OK. Twenty meters has been open to middle California for the last few weeks. Which of those 100 new KH1s will be the first to check in with us? Forty meters is open too if you want to test the user interface, or my hearing. Please join us on (or near): 14050 kHz at 2200z Sunday (3 PM PDT Sunday) 7047 kHz at z Monday (5 PM PDT Sunday) 73, Kevin. Re: [Elecraft] New KH1
Wayne As others will ask ... when might delivery and shipping be on this device. And is the architecture anything like the KX3/KX2 So an android tablet/phone might interface with it? On a 2 month trip to Louisiana and yes, I have my order in. That right-angle adapter sounds like just the ticket and would be much more compact than carrying the AX1 or AX2. I'm going to think it over for a few days but will probably be making a purchase. A huge THANK YOU to Wayne and the Elecraft team for the many years of great amateur radio products! 73, Paul - N8XMS On 10/21/2023 9:22 AM, Wayne Burdick wrote: Hi Paul, My current portable radio is a KX1 and there is something special about using gear that I built myself, but this KH1 looks amazing and I'm giving it some serious consideration. We're panning to design a right-angle adapter for the whip. [Elecraft] New KH1
I posted this on K4SWL's website but want to repeat it here... My current portable radio is a KX1 and there is something special about using gear that I built myself, but this KH1 looks amazing and I'm giving it some serious consideration. I'm really looking forward to seeing actual in-the-field reviews and videos. My one hesitation is over the fact that the whip can only be used in a hand-held mode unless a right-angle connector or some sort of stand could be fabricated. 73, Paul - N8XMS __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com
[Elecraft] RemoteRig value?
I have a RemoteRig RRC-1258 with the K3 cable sets for each end. These are new, never opened box. Any idea fair value for them? I can’t find any comparable for sale listings and it’s not clear if they’re still offered for sale. Please reply direct to me. Thanks & 73!
