Re: [Elecraft] [K3] UPS for K3
Where might one actually find the "kit" on-line? I have not had any luck with my search. [Elecraft] K3, KAT500, KPA500 Beta Updates
Just wanted to pass along that I have downloaded all the "Beta" updates for the K3, KAT500 and KPA500 and all works well. I worked some the contest this weekend with no issues. The KAT500 does search a bit more often but seems to find a better match condition in the process which is good in my book. With all the concerns recently expressed, I just wanted to pass along some positive praise to the Elecraft folks. [Elecraft] K3 - Remote activation of KAT500 via HRD
Hi All, I have a question to ask this group as perhaps someone already has the answer. The situation is as follows. I use HRD (Ham Radio Deluxe) to run my K line (K3, P3, KPA500, KAT500) remotely once in a while. The “Tune” button on the HRD's simulated "Radio Face" works fine in initiating the tune cycle for the K3 internal ATU. However, when the internal ATU is bypassed, it will not initiate the tune cycle for the KAT500. I am sure what is needed is a code line change in the HRD code sequence for the "Tune” button but I have no idea where to look for the appropriate sequence to use. I think I found where to make the change in HRD. Any insight would be appreciated. 73, Bill – W0BBI -- View this message in context: http://elecraft.365791.n2.nabble.com/K3-Remote-activation-of-KAT500-via-HRD-tp7582962.html Sent from the Elecraft mailing list archive at Nabble.com. __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

Re: [Elecraft] P3 Loss of signal - What an outstanding company!
I just received a note from Howard K6IA in Customer Support at Elecraft. He wanted to confirm my address so they can send me a replacement BNC cable. I did not request one nor had I contacted Elecraft about the issue directly. Can anyone name any other company that would take the initiative like that based on some exchanges on a reflector page? I think not! What an Outstanding Company Elecraft is, but of course, we all knew that already!!! Thanks Howard and thanks Elecraft!!! Re: [Elecraft] P3 Loss of signal
Hi George, Charlie Thanks George as your comment about BNC center pins was a new learning. Since I was using cables from Elecraft, that would have never crossed my mind. I did change cables and all appears to be back to normal for now. I checked the center pin to pin on the cable I removed and it is loose on one end. Can't imagine what caused it to just fail. Now it is just matter of getting a good permanent replacement cable. Thanks Charlie for the tip as well. Re: [Elecraft] P3 Loss of signal
Hi Don, Thanks for the reply. Yes that crossed my mind but the cable I use now was suppose to be from the "new" batch. I called and got replacement from Elecraft Parts after earlier problem. I think this cable has been in use for better than a year or more and nothing has changed. I will switch cables as soon as I can find or make a new one. I was just curious if anyone else had a similar problem crop up. [Elecraft] P3 Loss of signal
Recently, I have noticed that after a switching bands or simple setting ideal for while just listing, my P3 & SVGA screen signals drop off to almost a flat line. After simply giving the IF BNC connector a light tap, everything returns to normal. I replaced the IF jumper with a replacement unit from Elecraft sometime ago so I assume it is a good. Anyone else had a similar experience? Re: [Elecraft] Writing K3 Control Add-in for Windows4P3 and need some advice
Hi, You may want to consider adding the "Delay" adjustment. I use mine in CW depending on whether I operate QSK or not. Of course it also is used to adjust VOX delay I believe. Also the "Mon" (monitor) function might be of value. Re: [Elecraft] K3 Suggestion - Remember Frequency per Band Mode
This might be a very later reply but it you use the "K3 / KX3 Frequency Memory Editor" software available off the Elecraft Website, to make loading both Frequency and Mode starting points for each band a breeze. You can then just hold M>V and your memory detail/discription will be shown on the VFO B window. You can then use VFO A to select the band segment and mode you loaded. Then tap M>V and you are there. -- View this message in context: http://elecraft.365791.n2.nabble.com/K3-Suggestion-Remember-Frequency-per-Band-Mode-tp7560928p7561661.html Sent from the Elecraft mailing list archive at Nabble.com. __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
