[Elecraft] PX3 USB Keyboard List
I keep seeing references to keyboards being added to “the list,” I have seen reference to “PX3_Keyboard_QuickStart.pdf” Where are these lists and documents? I cannot find them! I have searched and looked on this reflector and on the Yahoo group. I have also used the search on the Elecraft site! I am going to buy a keyboard for use on my PX3 but I want to make sure it will work. Someone help me out here and give me a link to “the list.” I know it is only Beta firmware but it seems that loads of folks have installed it. Thanks in advance! [Elecraft] Portable Power
I have three portable Elecraft rigs (K1, K2 and KX3) and up to now power them from a wall outlet (I do have the internal battery charger unit in the KX3). I want to take them out and about and do some SOTA type stuff. So, I am looking for advice on a portable power solution. Should I bee looking at LiFePO4 batteries or Sealed Lead-Acid batteries? What are the pros and cons of each? How about charging them when they are not in use? Should they be left to run down and then charged or kept continuously on a charger? Are the Buddipole one any good (although I would have to source the same type here as they are not shippable across the pond!). I am in the UK so generic types may be more applicable than specific brands. [Elecraft] A Heartfelt Plea
I know that I am new to this list but I’d like to make a plea from the heart (I will be posting the same plea on some other groups): Would list members please, please, please think about what they are doing when they quote an entire message (and sometimes many, many replies) when posting to the list. Sometimes there are quotes of quotes of quotes and the content is actually just one line! In the main, I read this list on my phone and I sometimes find it almost impossible sometimes to actually find the intended content! What’s wrong with editing what you’re going to quote - and perhaps using snip to show that you’ve done it?
