Re: [Elecraft] RX Audio ON/OFF
Thanks Walter I just looked at Data A in the on line manual and it states that USB is used and compression is set to zero but it doesn't say anything about RX EQ or TX EQ being turned off. I tried DATA A and it works like you said Gary W0GHZ On 1/5/2015 3:07 PM, Walter Underwood wrote: The DATA A mode is USB, but turns off RX EQ, TX EQ, and compression. wunder K6WRU CM87wj http://observer.wunderwood.org/ On Jan 5, 2015, at 1:00 PM, Gary Mohrlant w0...@arrl.net wrote: I like to using the RX audio Equalization on my K3. [Elecraft] KPA-500 Question
I'm assembling a KPA-500 that I received today and I'm at the step where I mount the Rectifier bd to the Z-bracket. It looks like the 4 holes for mounting the rectifiers should be threaded for 4-40 screws but mine has about 1/8 holes. There is no mention of using a screw and nut to mount them and there is none provided. I wonder if anyone else has run into this problem Gary W0GHZ __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

Re: [Elecraft] N3FJP ACLog 3.3
I'm running ACLog3.3 and haven't had these problems. My K3 firmware is up to date. Gary W0GHZ I've noticed since a few firmware updates ago that if you are using the rig interface inside of ACLog 3.3 the logger pauses and seems to hang for a bit waiting on something. If I turn off Rig Interface the logger responds very quick. If I click inside the Call box I can get maybe two characters typed in before it hangs for 5-10 seconds...and then it will be fine for maybe 30 seconds or so. Also, when uploading to LoTW the pauses will sometimes cause the upload to time out and not complete. Was there any changes since the NB and NR firmware update that may have caused this issue? [Elecraft] P3 and logging software
I'm thinking of getting a P3 and I know the Elecraft site says it works with logging software but I'm just wondering if anyone is using N3FJP AC log along with a P3 since they both need the RS232 port. Re: [Elecraft] K3 TUNE function
From the manual: Most calibration procedures use Tech-Mode menu entries. To enable these, set CONFIG:TECH MD to ON. Set TECH MD to OFF afterward. So if Tech mode is off I don't think the Tune button should not have any effect on the Calibration. Or does it? Good question... Since the procedure requires power to be set to exactly 5.0W, it suggests that there's some special logic in the firmware that cause the calibration routine to kick in when TUNE is invoked with that setting. That seems to imply that one should not invoke the TUNE function at that power level under other circumstances, as an imperfect load could result in decalibration 73, ~iain / N6ML __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
