Hi, Many thanks to Don, Jim and others who took the time to answer my post, it was the MON setting that was causing the issue I must have inadvertently changed it as Don said below, now all working fine again. I’m glad it was only finger trouble. [Elecraft] K3 Tx audio coming through speaker
Hi all, After working perfectly for awhile my K3 has developed the following problem, when I key the mike and transmit in SSB mode the audo is coming through the speaker while i’m transmitting, I have not got monitor turned on and this happens wether using the internal speaker or headphones. I’m hoping this is just caused by me altering a parameter in the menu’s that I shouldn’t have done. [Elecraft] K3 and Kantronics TNC
Hi all, Sorry if this is off topic, I have just put together my K3 s/n 08095 with the following options, KPA3, KAT3 and KXV3A I plan to add more options later when I’ve saved up some more cash. [Elecraft] KX3 Not shutting down correctly
Hi all, I have KX3 s/n 5464 running firmware 1.79, I find that when I turn the radio off I see a row of * astrix’s (can’t spell) appear on the VFO B display area, reading the manual this would indicate that the KX3 has not shutdown correctly, I have tried a forced firmware load but when I get to step 4 in the manual and open the KX3 utility all I get is the KX3 is not responding and nothing else happens. Hi all, Just like to say a big thank you to all who replied to my question, it looks like the software option is the way to go for now I will look around for something that will run on my Mac, I think that I should be able to use DSPradio by DL2SDR and put the P3 on the wish list for now along with the K3. Both. There are some advantages to each and I love them equally. My new sound card was $150 from Sweatwater delivered. I have an EMU by Creative labs, but that is a little temperamental on my Win7 64 system, but it was only $100. You can make a P3 function with a KX3, I assume. But it is going to require some engineering and surgery. I think I would go with the simplest first as a trial. You might just want to stay with that configuration.
