[Elecraft] KAT100 issue
An issue has arisen with my KAT100. The tuner works fine but the LEDs for the SWR do not light. The PWR and Antenna LEDs are OK. Can someone recommend a solution? [Elecraft] FT8 problems on 17 & 30 M
Perhaps this is a software problem, but I thought I'd start here. Using K3 (s/n 68xx), SignalLink USB and WSJT-X. Everything works fine on FT8 on all bands but 17 & 30. I can decode on those bands, but there is no xmit. The rig keys OK and goes into xmit but there is no output. Radio performs normally on CW and SSB on these bands. I use the same TX Data mode on all bands. Thought maybe there might be a hidden menu item that I might have screwed up. Anyway thanks for any help. [Elecraft] K2 is sick?
My trusty K2 (#5767) has just started acting up. It seems to be fine on all bands but 40M. On that band, the RX seems dead, and won't tune properly with my KAT500. It doesn't have the built in tuner. The 100W amp is built in. Other bands show full output and normal RX. Using my other radios have ruled out any antenna problem. Anyway, any advice would be appreciated. --Mike, W0RSR __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
[Elecraft] KAT500 set up
Just received my KAT500 and got it all hooked up. Works perfect with my K3 and KPA500. However, when I try to use it with other radios on the desk, I have a problem. All works OK when the amp isn't inline. But, when using another radio (other than the K3), and you put the amp in the operate position, I get almost a muting of the RX. This is before actually keying the amp with my footswitch. I've fiddled with the keying cables with no success. Didn't have any trouble when using the previous tuner (Palstar). I must be missing something rather obvious. Thanks for any help. --Mike, W0RSR __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
[Elecraft] loss of sensitivity K3
My K3 s/n 5947, intermittently loses sensitivity on all bands after being on for a few minutes. Usually tapping on the top of the rig restores things. Also putting rig in xmit restores rx to normal. Doesn't last though. I've eliminated the so 239 connector and coax as culprits. Not using the internal tuner. Any ideas?? --Mike, W0RSR __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
[Elecraft] new K3
I'm just setting up my new K3 #5947. I ordered it with the sub RX installed. There are two issues I am trying to resolve. First, on pwr on, I get ERR DVR message on screen. Second, when I tap SUB to activate the sub rx, I get static in the speaker from the 2nd rx, but it' s not receiving any signals. I've only tried it using the same band as the main RX. I only have one antenna connected, but I assumed that the 2nd RX could be tapped from it on rx. I do have the auto tuner installed, no KXV3. Any hints would be great.
