[Elecraft] cty.dat written in node-js parser ?

2023-05-30 Thread a4...@sy-edm.com
Sorry for the rather left of field question….

I have a two custom parsers written in C++ and Python respectivly, to perform
callsign matching … all works as expected.

I am now however turning my attention to doing something using Node-Red - and
that means in native mode at least - I may have to parse this file again using
node-js … something I am trying to avoid.

Does anyone know of an open-source cty.dat parser which is written in node-js ?

Regards

[Elecraft] Mac RTTY Software for Elecraft radio's

2022-02-06 Thread a4...@sy-edm.com
As I see 2022 CQ WPX RTTY, is approaching this weekend (please save the groans,
as I have bit my tongue regarding the slide-rule/RPN trip down memory lane).

Are there any recommended Contest packages for RTTY specifically for
Mac/Elecraft radio’s ? Please feel free to PM me direct if you would prefer
(just not about slide-rules)

Re: [Elecraft] K3s/KPA500 communication issue?

2020-11-15 Thread a4...@sy-edm.com
Use the kpa utility and check the fault codes.

In my case (prefix du3) it has always been due to input power variance. And as
you describe, the following day - everything has been fine.

[Elecraft] Are Elecraft accepting return to Manufacturer for repairs yet ?

2020-10-26 Thread a4...@sy-edm.com
Whilst I have read that California has been devastated by the horrific fires,
and the world seems a little doomed with CV-19; There has also been signs of
life within the Elecraft mother-ship, with K4 development. I am glad to see
there is some progress for Elecraft, but as I am sitting

So what is the current status of returning failed receiver back to Elecraft for
repair - I have a dead KX3 - which was waiting the generation of a RSA since
21st May 2020…. ??

I am sure that I am not the only person with equipment waiting return.

Thanks

Tim

[Elecraft] Mac RTTY with a Contest logger

2020-10-04 Thread a4...@sy-edm.com

Dear Brain-Trust,
I currently use RUMLog and/or SkookumLogger for my contest work (K3S
and a Mac)….

I recently tried to work the RTTY Contest, but found the FLDIGI
interface not very smooth, could not get the integration with RUMLog working,
and then found that COCOA-Modem is out of compile life….

So …. Suggestions please ?? All acceptable except ditching the Mac.

Regards

Tim

[Elecraft] P3 Output

2020-05-19 Thread a4...@sy-edm.com
I see on my P3 that there is an additional BNC output, which is “un-buffered”….

Is there any way I can use this ?
What actually is in this output I/Q only - or RF

More curious than anything …

[Elecraft] KX3 will not power up

2020-05-11 Thread a4...@sy-edm.com
Dear Elecraft brain trust,
My KX3 seems to have an
issue. It will not "boot up". The power on key combination, on the second quick
attempt gets the back-lights to power on, initially at a dim value, which then
drops to a very-dim setting. It was working fine 3 weeks ago, when I was
working /P.

This problem manifests itself with the Batteries installed and the DC
Power connected. It is exactly the same in both cases.

So far I have checked
- Input Power. Centre positive. Voltage 14v
- Internal Connection cable
  Appears well seated.
- Batteries.
  Removed them all. Same result
Externally charged - then replaced in radio.
Same result.
- Soft buttons on radio
Non appear depressed
-Dials on radio
All rotate/Depress where applicable. no obvious
damage.
- No Usb Connection possible as the radio does not
power up
- EE-INIT also seemingly not possible

Next steps / What have I missed ?? Or is it time for Tech-Support ??

Many thanks

Tim, DU3TW
