Re: [Elecraft] K4 - VHF/UHF

2019-05-06 Thread bhtoub
Will there ever be a VHF/UHF radio? I'm sure because of the cost factor
there would a limitation. The interest would be the next question. Had to
ask...

Too many surface mount devices. Not everyone has that skill for that
kind of kit.

[Elecraft] Fw: Re: Expected voltage reading K3 Display ? at full RF output.

2013-05-03 Thread bhtoub

Hi Cliff,

1.0 V sounds about right. This all depends upon the length of wire and
size.
Assuming this is a regulated supply (switching or linear) and rated for
your
radio voltage and current wise and you don't remote sense, then the total
length
and size will determine the voltage drop. Good Luck

output.

Just a general question, thought my new power supply was dropping voltage
on
TX but no it is rock solid, I get about 1V drop at full power CW on the
K3 Display. Is this normal,

I have already replaced the troublesome PA pins is there something else
that
would cause this.

Don't think the drop over the power lead would cause it

Any ideas appreciated,

Has anyone tried TeamViewer using the mode FT8? Was in QST a couple

Please- *nobody* is asking JT to save CW by giving us an extra 6-8 dB
SNR. I hope that is not the next Goldilocks mode in the pipeline. I
assume proponents of such a cobbled up "user interface" would feel
perfectly justified in "sharing" even more CW frequency space? No thanks.
