Re: [Elecraft] CM500 Headset for Sale
To all, The CM500 headset has been sold to W6NIA the first responder. Thanks for all of the interest. BTW, several have asked why I was selling the headset. I bought it thinking that it would replace my old Heil BM-10 headset. In comparing both with the K3, I found that I still preferred the Heil with the HC5 element. The Heil seems to respond better to my voice and was easier to configure for Vox Gain, Anti-Vox. etc. Since there was no overwhelming improvement in the Yamaha versus the Heil, I thought I would stick with the tried and true. Plus the BM-10 is very comfortable to wear if you do not have to block out outside noise--which I don't in my shack. I think the Yamaha is still a very good value especially if you do not already have a headset. Re: [Elecraft] CM500 Headset for Sale
I have seen so such about this headset that I finally couldn't resist any longer. Thursday I ordered one from Sam Ash for $44.99 including shipping. The online ad said it was out of stock but I ordered it anyway as there was no rush. Late Friday I got an e-mail with a FedEx number. Today I got an automated phone call also confirming shipment. So if anyone missed the posted ones here Sam Ash might be worth a try. You can always cancel if an excessive delay is encountered. 73, Bob K2TK On 9/6/2010 5:16 PM, Dave Perry N4QS wrote: To all, The CM500 headset has been sold to W6NIA the first responder.
