[Elecraft] K2 Spot causes signal distortion
For reference, Hisashi was correct. It was a broken RFC15. Distortion on transmit confirmed the problem. Many thanks to Hisashi! Does it help to lower level of spot tone? I use spot often on my K2 3829 and no distortion heard , but I have never run it on high levels? I adjust level on spot so an incoming signal blanks it out when pitch is near optimal center. Tom LA1PHA How is your transmitted signal? Make sure you didn't break RFC15 (check for continuity). You'll also hear a very ugly sounding transmit signal if RFC15 is broken.
