Feature 1 is something that is being actively talked about with P3 field testers... Feature 2 already happens with the latest P3 firmware the reference level is remembered per band. As for feature 3 you may be able to get by with what you want using the peak hold feature. Al, Thanks for the reply. Regarding the reference level, the Icom always seems to simply set it correctly. I assume it is not merely remembering the level when bands are switched, but is rather computing a new floor each time. Is that a bad approach? On the list is an auto-scale function to be activated by holding the SCALE key a second time when scale is already active. So the default is to use your previous REF LVL and SCALE settings for that band but you would be able to auto-scale if desired.
