Hi 1. I have lost sidetone. I know there is a simple fix, but I can't remember it 2. Why when I remove the KDSP2 does the audio disappear ? Brian (GM3AKF) writes ... Why when I remove the KDSP2 does the audio disappear? Brian, Referring to the upper right corner of this diagram ... http://www.unpcbs.com/common/images/diagram_large.png the audio chain in a stock K2 is routed through jumper wires CTRL-R18 and R19. However, these jumpers are removed when CTRL-J1 and J2 are installed in preparation for the installation of the DSP. You can use your K2 without the KDSP2 by jumpering from CTRL-J1-1 to CTRL- J2-1 and from CTRL-J1-2 to CTRL-J2-2, i.e. from pin 1 on J2 to pin 1 on J2 and from pin 2 on J1 to pin 2 on J2. Brian (GM3AKF) also asks ... 1. I have lost sidetone. I know there is a simple fix, but I can't remember it Brain, See W3FPR's previous post on this subject in the Reflector archives. You can find it at http://marc.info/?l=elecraftm=117525815516404w=2 This topic is also described in section 8, Operation in the K2 manual under the section entitled Using the Menu. (The exact page number will vary depending on the rev. of your manual.) From page 86 in my rev. F manual ... DISPLAY Switch Usage in EDIT Mode: The DISPLAY switch is used to access supplemental parameters when editing certain menu entries. You will normally not need to change these settings. Entries which use DISPLAY include: Entry DISPLAY Switch Usage in EDIT mode = == S T L Selects the sidetone source, U6-25 or U8-4. Use U8-4 (default). 73, Gary KI4GGX ___ Elecraft mailing list Post to: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Subscriber Info (Addr.
