Re: [Elecraft] Want to build a K2
I used to find the KDSP2 (which I thought sounded funny) and the KAF2 on eBay. I'm guessing you can find the other bits as well. Re: [Elecraft] Want to build a K2
Hank, To use the KXPA100 with the K2, you will have to install the K2 Keying Output mod. This is not available from Elecraft, but boards are available from FAR circuits. The KXPA100 will bandswitch when RF is applied. You might ask Dave W8FGU if he has any built up as kits d...@w8fgu.com. He had mentioned that possibility some time ago, but I don't know if it materialized. 73, Don W3FPR On 6/17/2023 1:15 PM, K4HYJ via Elecraft wrote: Hey folks. [Elecraft] Want to build a K2
Yes, the KXPA100 works FB with a K2/10, and gives you the built-in 100w ATU if installed. You can also then hook up a larger amp on the other side of the KXPA100 as well. No brag, just fact. I urge anyone thinking of building a K2 to get off the fence and order one now. The K2 is a blast to build, and when you're done, you have a fine, elegant, simple radio to enjoy The writing is on the wall--supply chain problems and parts unavailability will eventually kill the K2, and it will join the K1 and KX1 in legend. These days, I operate my K2 as much as my K4! One final thought that never occured to me before it happened--you may not be physically capable of building a K2 for all of your ham life I'm glad I built every Elecraft kit ever offered--the best kits and best support--what are YOU waiting for? 73, Eric NF6S ex WD6DBM, ex WN6RVG __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com
