Re: [Elecraft] Automated Transmit Gain Calibration at 5 W, 50W, err txf
Problem found. I had the CW TX filter erroneously configured as filter 3 which is a 1.80 b/w filter, I set it to a 2.7 b/w filter for tx and once again all is wonderful in kb2m K3 land... 73 Jeff kb2m ___ Elecraft mailing list Post to: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Can you perform Transmitter Gain Calibration of your radio manually without getting ERR TXF? I'm sorry if I missed some posts on this the other day I was visiting a friend for the holidays and someone unplugged my laptop and then during a 300+ email download my laptop shutdown and my main pst file got corrupted, so I lost some messages. Anyway If it will help find the problem, yes I have TECH MD set to on , and I also tried a shorter piece of coax. 73 Jeff kb2m ___ Elecraft mailing list Post to: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net You must be a subscriber to post to the list. When I connected another dummy load to the K3 output cable ahead of the other equipment it solved the problem. The second dummy load was a Bird Termaline. RE: [Elecraft] Automated Transmit Gain Calibration at 5 W, 50W, err txf
Using the K3 Utility's Configuration tab, click "Configure Crystal Filters" (maybe it's Edit Crystal Filters) and verify that the filters you have chosen for Tx CW and Tx SSB are your 2.7 filter in slot 2. Is this the issue? And I'm getting this error... Starting 5 Watt calibration. Calibrating at 1.900 MHz Unexpected response "DBERR TXF;" to "DB;". State 127 5 Watt calibration failed. I verified that I have my 2.7 filter in # 2 slot selected, and I tried it with ATU in auto and bypass. I'm also getting a ERR TXF error. The dummy load I'm using I verified that it is close to 1 to 1 .
