RE: [Elecraft] K3: Automatic Character Spacing

ACS, would be nice (used it for the last 20 yrs)
Low priority (to me), I'm sure there are more important issues

Auto character spacing for K3. Yes, please.

If ACS is implemented, PLEASE make it selectable. I find ACS a
complete PITA as it results in broken characters for me.

Re: [Elecraft] K3: Automatic Character Spacing

2008-05-23 Thread John W2XS

I would like to second that request. I still use the CMOS Super Keyer 1
which came after the Accukeyer and it has ACS which I miss when using the K2
and (soon - maybe this weekend - 35% assembled so far) K3. Once you get used
to ACS, it is hard to do without it. The K1EL, NorCal, and PK4 keyers, and
others, have ACS.

73,

John W2XS

(BTW - IMHO - the software implementation of ACS in the Logikeyers, direct
descendants of the CMOS Super Keyer, is not as good as the older,
hardware-only implementation).

RE: [Elecraft] K3: Automatic Character Spacing

2008-05-23 Thread Evert Bakker (PA2KW)
You can add me to the list of persons that would like to see that feature. I
do have the CMOS Super Keyer 1 as well and it's hard to get it right after
15 years of operating and suddenly missing ACS.

No top priority, but I would like to drop a separate piece of equipment.
