Thank you, Doug, that gave me all the info I needed. I have the BNC-connector
installed, so I will leave it for later, just in case...
Thank you and 73s de Franz, DK1ii

Franz: You didn't indicate whether or not you have the KRX3 subreceiver
installed in your K3. If you do there are two ways to connect the KRX3 to
an antenna. Ref the Main and SubReceiver Antenna Routing section in the
K3 Owner's Manual (pg 40 - 42 in my Rev D1 version).
If the spare TMP cable is 12 long then it is likely to be used for an
optional setup for the KRX3 Antenna Input. Ref the Auxiliary KRX3 Antenna
Input (Optional) section of the KRX3 Installation and Operation Manual, pg
24 in my Rev C version). The spare 12 TMP cable is used to connect the
KRX3 to its antenna via the KAT3 Antenna Tuner. Ref the Installing KRX3
AUX RF (ANT) Connector section in the K3 Assembly Manual (pg 19 in my Rev
F version). The 12 TMP cable is not used if the KRX3 AUX RF (ANT) BNC
Connector has been installed, but is included in the kit if you wish to
change the wiring configuration later.
As to the Allen keys - there should be two supplied with the kit. The large
one is for the set screws on the two main VFO knobs (A B), the smaller one
is for the set screw on all the other smaller knobs.
Hope that helps and enjoy your new K3.

Subject: [Elecraft] TMp Cable and Allen Wrench Envelope
Hi all,
I am a proud new owner of a K3, which was handcarried by a friend to
Europe. After a week or so he sent me two little envelopes, one with a TMP
cable, one with a Allen wrench. I couldn't find a hint what to do with these
little parts, are they a sparepart/tool for just in case or did I miss
something and they are needed to bring the nice new toy up to speed? Maybe
somebody can tell me, please.
