I'd like to see that as well.

How about a touchscreen interface option?

Re: [Emc-users] install??how to

2007-11-27 Thread Richard L. Wurdack
I don't know the product Infarecorder, but both the third party products that I
use, NTI (Acer laptop running XP) and Nero 6 on a Win 2K machine have an option
to write a bootable CD. When you do it that way it picks up the resident boot
track and writes it out to the CD. This doesn't work for me. I got a good
bootable CD by just doing a "create disk from iso image" option from the file
menu on NTI. Seems to work well for 6.06, 7.04 and 7.10 Ubuntu isos that I have
downloaded.

I downloaded emc2.2.1-ubuntu6.06-desktop-i386.iso. I used infarecorder to put
image on cd.

I checked the md5sum on the download and it is fine. I can not check the
md5sum on the cd?

I tried to boot from the cd and can not run the "live cd".

The pc is a hp Pavilion, Celeron 2.93 ghz with Windows XP, the dvd
is:TSSTcorp CDW/DVD TS-H492A.

I set to boot on cd, I checked to be sure the cd is iso etc>

  Any help?

  Thanks
  lou
