I may even have such a critter. Possibly more than 1 even.  I still have 
some decent sized metric stuff that I haven't made up yet. As I move to 
bigger grub screws, I am fine tuning the drill and tap depth so the grub 
screw has become pretty self-locking over the last half turn to a solid 
grip.

Thanks Peter. I'm of the opinion based on the evidence, that at the 
estate sale after I'm gone (if the missus outlives me and I don't get 
off my duff an write a will), they will still be new. Since I can't buy 
the bolt without learning french, the chances of needing to tap that 
size hole are somewhere to the right of .00squat. :)

[Emc-users] tap makers vs bolt makers

Greetings all;

As I work my way thru the smaller taps in some of my older tap kits, I'm 
finding a puzzle. I haven't been able, locally or online, to by an odd 
sized metric bolt above the even numbered 6.  But I sure have a pile of 
pristine, never been dirtied 7mmx1.0 and 9mmx1.25's in the tap box now.

Is this a conspiracy, and if so whats the point?
