  Duh.

I found the Stacking window attribute in the window menus. I don't
know why my brain didn't register that before. :-(

Still it would be nice to have that automatically applied based on
some identifying criteria so I don't have to manually set it every
time. Is there a way to do that?

 Yes. Keep looking. B-)

indeed - keep looking. we could tell you - but that wouldn't be as much fun :)
both e16 and e17 support a feature that lets you do what you want without
having to write any rules - e will write them for you based on what you tell it
in the gui :)

:-)

The fastest way to figure something out is to open your mouth and say
you can't figure it out. I swear I looked at that menu,... really.

So where is the iconbox position defined?

Thanks.

[e-users] strange behavior of search path configuration

2006-07-30 Thread Yasufumi Haga
Hi all

I added a directory path which I defined in my home directory
and from which other backgrounds could be fetched as well as
.e/e/backgrounds directory to the backgrounds path by
search path configuration dialog. But it doesn't seem to be
saved in another session. I mean, after closing a session and
logging in again, the directory I added in the previous session
is not included in the list on search path configuration
dialog, and I can't use the backgrounds in the directory as
they are not listed on the wallpaper settings dialog.

I restarted e17 after deleteing the existing .e directory,
but it didn't work.

Is it a known issue?

configuration panel-window list-advanced-raise window while selecting

turn that off :) you can also turn off focus window while selecting too - warp
mouse will always happen in pointer or sloppy focus as its a requirement of the
focus mode to work that way (i can go into details of how not doing it breaks
things, but i wont) :) your mouse will always be warped at the end - but you
can disable the warping while you select... :)
