[Evolution] imap - local cache for viewing offline

2002-02-05 Thread Manuel Streuhofer

Hi List!

Is there a way to get evolution to save *all* messages from an

imap-account on my local workstation for viewing offline?

(like mozilla-messenger does for example)

Thanks!

Re: [Evolution] Message Priorities

2002-02-04 Thread Manuel Streuhofer

hi!

yes. this is not the answer you expected to get, but why don't

you use vFolders? Nothing easier as setting up an new Folder

called 'important' and file every Mail with your Headerlines in it. :)

I have some messages that have the following in their headers:

X-Priority: 1

Priority: Urgent

Importance: high

It would be nice if I could "flag" them, either by having them appear a different color or by putting some icon next to them in the message list...

the question should be: why are you using netscape instead of
galeon or something else? there is no reason. so go the easiest way and
use another browser than netscape.

[Evolution] some general questions

2001-12-04 Thread Manuel Streuhofer

hi list!

has anybody an idea why the "Empty Trash" Action doesn't work
at a mbox-Account? the "Expunge" Action works, but i think
expunging is an action related to imap, not to mbox...
so what have i misunderstood? ;)

and then theres another question... is it possible to save
all mails of a imap folder local so that it is possible to
work offline? at this time only some mails are reachable
when in offline-mode. but i don't understand which mail
and why...

thanks!

[Evolution] buttonbar

2001-12-03 Thread Manuel Streuhofer

is it possible to customize the buttonbar?
it would be perfect to put some actions from
the action menu to the buttonbar like "reply to list"

also it would be nice if i can right-click in the
preview of an mail and select on of the action.
(the same i can do if i'm right-clicking on a mail
in the list above the preview)

Re: [Evolution] looking for a feature....

2001-12-03 Thread Manuel Streuhofer

wa!

it seems like kde stores the position and size of a window
in combination with his internal name or something like that.
i don't know exactly.

so my "Store Settings" - hint won't work for long...
First time you click "Send / Receive" the statuswindow
pops up. seems like it has the same name as the composer-
window. result is, that the settings stored just one
seconds before got overwritten with the position and
size of the statuswindow...

next time you click "New Mail" it will open as tiny as
the statuswindow and will only resize to fit the
minimum needs for some gui elements needed in this
window...

hehe... found it. it's really easy

just for info if anyone beside me uses evo under kde
and wants to save window-positions...

when the window is open and has the position and size
you want... just right-click on the window-top-bar
and select "Store Settings"

from this moment on the window always opens as left
bevore. :)

[Evolution] looking for a feature....

2001-12-02 Thread Manuel Streuhofer

hi list.

i'm using evo under kde. because of that i can't say the
windowmanager should save the windowposition and size for
the next use.

the "problem" is, that whenever i click for new mail the
composerwindow opens but is very small. i must maximize
it to work with it. thats not really a problem but its
not funny.

also the window for the status while waiting for connecting,
and receiving new mail always opens in the top left corner.
it would be more "beautifully" if it opens centered to the
screen. :)

perhaps evo can open the window with a size that fullfills
the standard requirements of a normal user... and tries to
center the window. perhaps just optional...

but if there's a way to do this without evo's help i would
welcome every hint.

thanks!

Re: [Evolution] html-mails / display error

2001-12-01 Thread Manuel Streuhofer

another question.

where exactly is the problem with the content-id?
theres ONE mail. in this mail there is a reference
to a image. (also in this one mail)

why-the hell-should this content-id be globally unique?
where is the content-id in my email wrong if any other
mailclient than evolution can parse it correctly?

[Evolution] html-mails / display error

2001-11-30 Thread Manuel Streuhofer

Hi List!

a week ago i sent a "bug" to the list. but i got
ignored (more or less) perhaps a few new users of
this list are more interessed in the problem.

The Problem is, that html-mails with inline-pictures
the picture is also in the email (see below) didn't
get shown correctly. below is a piece of the email.
perhaps anyone knows the problem?

I want to specify the Problem: The Image is not shown
at all. but only in evolution. _all_ other mailclients
can show it correctly.

so why can't evo show it?

many thanks,
Manuel

Hi Dan.

Thanks for the answer, but i haven't generated this
email. i took the Perlmodule MIME::Lite for this.
And this emails get displayed correctly in any other
emailclient I tried.

[Evolution] links on the summary page and in the mails

2001-11-16 Thread Manuel Streuhofer

hi all.

i'm using the official debian-package of evolution version 0.99.0
when i'm clicking a link on the summary-page or in a mail
nothing happens. no error. nothing. also if i'm asking for help
in the help-menu all i get is an error (only if i'm running
in debug-mode with --debug=) the error sounds like
rc -1 got. what should i do?

another problem:
when i'm starting evolution i'm getting the error
"Gdk-WARNING **: locale not supported by C library"
what's that?

i'm using kde 2.2.1

thanks for any help!
