Re: [Evolution] Converting from a PST [Scanned]

2012-11-22 Thread Mike Lieberman
I am running Outlook 2007. The mail works in Outlook but I can't suck it
into evolution.

Hi Mike,

I may not be able to help, but I'm guessing those that can will need to know
the version of Outlook you are running.

Cheers,
Chris

(Yes - since 1994) and my PST is 9+GB. Installed evolution on my Windows
wks and started an Import. It has been running for 12 hours and appears to
be hung in a folder that just isn't that larger on it's own.

Is there anyway around this, or do I give up?

I'd suggest transferring your data to some 3rd party IMAP/CalDAV/CardDAV
service, be that Google or your own locally installed servers. Then you
can transfer the data back to Evolution 2.x or any client really (or you
could just leave the data on the server permanently and not be chained
to a particular client).

All:

I would like to do it the other way around. I was using Evolution on an
Xubuntu 12 and have now returned to Ubuntu 10.04. Is there any way to get
the Evolution 3.x data back to Evolution 2.x?

Thanks in advance,
Thomas

[Evolution] Configuring evolution-mapi for Exchange 2000 server vs. Openchange client

2012-11-22 Thread Josh Jackson
I'm having some difficulty configuring evolution-mapi to access my
department's Exchange 2000 server. I am able to access the same account
using the openchange command line client. When I try to add the account in
evolution I check the 'Kerberos authentication' box and put in the same
realm as I used when I setup openchange and it responds 'Host unreachable'.
If I uncheck the Kerberos authentication checkbox it refuses my password -
the same password that works in openchange.

These are my package versions:
evolution 3.6.0-0ubuntu3
evolution-mapi 3.6.0-0ubuntu1
openchangeclient 1:1.0-2

This is the command I used to set up openchange:
mapiprofile --create --profile=jkjackso --username=jkjackso
--password=password_censored_here --domain=HNL --realm=HNL.BCM.TMC.EDU--address=
stan.hnl.bcm.edu

Following that, this command works to dump the mail box:
exchange2mbox --profile jkjackso

Thanks much for any helpful info!
