Re: [Evolution] infinitive wait for network events

2013-07-09 Thread Eugene
I upgraded to 3.8.3 with F19 and network timeout problems got even worse.

Marking mailbox as "copy folder locally for offline operation" stopped taking
any effect whatsoever.
No message with attachments is loading, staying on "Retrieving message
'nn'" forever. The same message has already been loaded previously with
3.6.4. Did local storage format change?

Eugene.

I've noticing that evolution does not handle network delays properly.
It will spin in wait state indefinitely. Please see included

Have you followed the debugging hints at

  https://projects.gnome.org/evolution/bugs.shtml

Running Evo from the command line with CAMEL_DEBUG=all might give you
sufficient hints as to where the problem is. Alternatively, getting a
backtrace when Evo is stuck will give those that know about such things
sufficient info to tell you what it is doing at the time.

[Evolution] My evolution has gone crazy

2013-07-09 Thread Aaron Konstam
For t second time my evolution has gone crazy.
First for the second time all my all my contacts have disappeared.
Second, in the upper right corner there is no icon for going to extended
display.

How can this be fixed?

Thanks for subscribing to the Evolution mailing list an hour ago, but
your posting is very offtopic, so I've reverted your decision.
https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/evolution-list describes that
Evolution is an email software application.

Good luck with spamming somewhere else,

Some basic info about address book types etc is welcome, plus checking
if you have a search view enabled.

I don't know what extended display is. Maximizing a window? Whatever it
is, that's likely not controlled by Evolution itself.

[Evolution] Replying to spam

2013-07-09 Thread Ralf Mardorf
Andre, it's better, if we don't reply to spam, to enable easier and more
secure filtering of junk mails. This btw. is the reason that I reply by
a new mail, IOW with a new thread inside the mail's header.

Regards,
Ralf
