There are links to this content from the page you reference, though with our

the style sheet to make these look more obvious. If you use this page, look

Re: [ewg] Web site update

2012-02-16 Thread Ken Strandberg
Regarding policies about signing up to get access to content that cost the
organization to create, you need to address this with the board.

Regarding content from Sonoma 2010, all the presentations are up there as
videos under the Videos section. They have been available for quite a while.
However, due to usability concerns, I'm reorganizing them now into the days
they were presented, so they will be available sporadically for the next few
hours. I will also be adding a file that zips all the movies together. I am
slowly getting the content up there as PPTs and PDFs. I apologize they
aren't there, but the videos are good, from the few I've sampled, and they
provide the audio and video.

I would very much like to know what part of the design you find unusable.
This type of feedback is very valuable, because it might just take some
simple reorganization to make it more usable. I am always available and
interested in such suggestions and can be reached at
webmana...@openfabrics.org. However, the design goals for the site when we
moved to the new content management system was to make it easier to manage
and add content by other than web programmers, while controlling access to
some content that is for certain working groups, etc. This reduces the
overall cost of operating the site.

If you can't find archived content you want, you can always download it
directly at www.openfabrics.org/archives. But I'm sure that it would be
appreciated if this address was kept within the membership.

I've updated the Sonoma 2010 section of both videos and presentations.
Videos are listed individually, zipped into daily consolidations, and a very
large single zip for videos of all presentations.

Presentations currently are available as zips of each day and for the entire
workshop. I will work at getting individual presentations listed soon as I
can. I will copy any details from the old site into the individual file
descriptions at that time.

current style sheet the links are NOT very clear. We are working on changing
the style sheet to make these look more obvious. If you use this page, look
for where it says to download ...'here.' And click on here. If you've done
that, you should be taken to a page with the names of downloadable files.
Then you just click on the Download button for the file you want. Another
way to get these files is under the OFED/OFA Resources menu OFA Doc
Downloads Videos or Presentations.

If you aren't seeing the pages with Download buttons, please let me know.
You have access rights to all this content. And please let me know what
browser you're using if you can't get to these pages. I need to make sure
they are available to the appropriate users.

Regarding access rights, I'm just implementing what I've been directed by
the organization's management. You should contact one of the Exec team if
you have concerns regarding our policies.

But, ANYTHING regarding the web site should be directed to me.

Please let me know whether or not this helps. Either way.

Thanks.

I was trying to provide pointer for partners on past conferences

Also after doing registration/login I can't get any content from previous
