For example, i took the report for the month of 01.08.09 - 31.08.2009, (deleted the more than 100 recods as it would have file bulky) and then did accordingly to get the report as attached. Could you provide a macro to ease the manoeuvre. I am looking farward for your reply. Regards, Kumar --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ -- Some important links for excel users: 1. $$Excel-Macros$$ Loop to lookup variables and copy row to new sheet
Hi, I’ve seen a few queries that are similar to mine, but I can’t get any of them to work for me. I am very grateful for any assistance that you able to give. I have a spreadsheet like this: (Sheet name: Input) Col A: Sales person name Col B: Unit Col C to Z other data Col A Clo b Col C JohnDvd $543 Mary tv $123 Sam Cd $245 JohnCd $321 Sam Dvd $543 I need to copy all the rows with “DVD” in colcumn B from my “Input” sheet to a Sheet called “DVD”, all the rows with “CD” to a sheet called “CD” etc. I want to copy the entire row. This is a very simplified version of my actual data, I could have 20 to 50 different units so I would like it if the macro could take the search value from a list (this list could be in the “Input” sheet, in the range A8000: A8100) and then populate the prenamed sheets, or if it is easier to program it could create a sheet with the same name as the unit and copy the rows to that. If this isn’t possible then I would need code that would have the 50 units themselves written into the code instructing it to look for a specific unit, copy it to the relevant sheet, go back and look for another unit, until it looked for all 50. I hope I have explained this adquatly and thanks again. Regards, Tyson --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ -- Some important links for excel users: 1. Check out the add-in at http://thexlwiz.blogspot.com or you can also re-install Excel 2003 (the new 2007 and old versions can co-exist) and use it for dbf editing. Hope this helps. $$Excel-Macros$$ Re: how to change decimal coordinates into DDMMSS format
Hi Mahesh, Here's How to do Logic: 1.The whole units of degrees will remain the same (i.e. in 9.73877° Decimal, start with 9°). 2.Multiply the decimal by 60 (i.e. .73877 * 60 = 44.3262). 3.The whole number becomes the minutes (44'). 4.Take the remaining decimal and multiply by 60. (i.e. .3262 * 60 = 19.572). 5.The resulting number becomes the seconds (6). Seconds can remain as a decimal. 6.Take your three sets of numbers and put them together, using the symbols for degrees (°), minutes (‘), and seconds () (i.e. 9°44'19.572 Degree). Below are the formulas to achieve this in excel: Decimal Degree Minute Seconds 9.73877 =INT(A2) =INT((A2-INT(A2))*60) =(((A2-INT(A2))*60)-INT((A2-INT(A2))*60))*60 Thanks and Regards, Upendra Singh +91-9910227325 From: excel-macros@googlegroups.com [mailto:excel-mac...@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Mahesh Sent: Friday, September 25, 2009 4:32 PM To: excel-macros@googlegroups.com Subject: $$Excel-Macros$$ how to change decimal ccoordinates into DDMMSS fromat Dear friends, Need your help. i want to convert decimal coordinates into DDMMSS. 9.73877= 09 44 20 -- With Love, Mahesh Bisht --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ -- Some important links for excel users: 1.
