Re: $$Excel-Macros$$ Dependent drop down lists

2010-02-27 Thread Christopher Luka
Dave & Abhishek,

Not so sure that's right. In Hanum's example, A points to C, A points to D,
and A points to E. It's a one-to-many relationship. Dave's example
contained a one-to-one relationship. Using Hanum's example, if I chose A in
the first dropdown, would the second dropdown be changed to C, D or E?

Re: $$Excel-Macros$$ CHANGE IN DATE FORMAT IN EXCEL

2010-02-27 Thread rf1234 rf1234
Hello Dear,
It depends offcourse, if receiver has change his or her setting.

If any issue abut the date field then resolve to freeze it, i.e

if u r writing
22-jan-2010
u can use freeze
' 22-jan-2010

now receiver will get the correct date, and if he or she want to delimited
‘, then use data ->text to column->delimited by '

I hope this will help.

:)

Happy to help

Re: $$Excel-Macros$$ Dependent drop down lists

2010-02-27 Thread Abhishek Jain
What I understand from Hanum's query is:

He wants two drop down lists which are actually dependent on EACH OTHER.

Code no. should be changed on the basis of Names and,
Names should be changed on the basis of Code nos.

Now the problem is -

When we change the code no. it should show the city name (okay till this
far) but as soon as we change the city name, the code no. should get changed
according to new city name selected, and when code no. got changed, it
should show a new city name againand this goes on...

Hanum,

If you want the corresponding results in separate lists, I can do
thatbut both in same two lists is I am afraid beyond my knowledge.

Regards,

AJ
