The top is the sheet before doing what I need. the bottom is what I need to
do. What I want is if field 2 (row 1 is header row) is the same, the row is
highlighted the same. If field 2 is different from the one above it, the
row is highlighted with a different color (alternating colors are fine on
the changing row). The sheet is sorted on field 2. I normally do this
manually but the Excel they just sent me has over 1,000 rows and most of
the field 2s are non repeating.

$$Excel-Macros$$ Re: How can I match two different data, where only a reference number and amount are common.

2015-03-30 Thread Maciej Piotrowicz
Hello

In both sources add column where you join ref nb and amount like=A1&b1
(where for example in A is ref nb and B ammount) . Then you can use vlookup
cos the possibility, I suppose, to non unique values are very small. Do not
matter what is the result of given formula, the only witch matters is
uniqueness.

Set MyMenuBar = CommandBars.ActiveMenuBar
Set LastMenu = MyMenuBar.Controls(MyMenuBar.Controls.Count)
LastMenu.BeginGroup = True

.Name = ToolBarName
.Protection = msoBarNoProtection
.Visible = True
.Position = msoBarTop
.RowIndex = 3
.Left = 800

For iCtr = LBound(MacNames) To UBound(MacNames)
With .Controls.Add(Type:=msoControlButton)
.OnAction = "'" & ThisWorkbook.Name & "'!" & MacNames(iCtr)
.Caption = CapNamess(iCtr)
.Style = msoButtonCaption
.FaceId = 71 + iCtr
'.TooltipText = TipText(iCtr)
End With
Next iCtr
End With

The toolbar generates OK when I load the programme but I need to add "begin
a Group" breaks between buttons.

I have tried using the example given in VBA help (as shown in bold italics
within the code above), but although it runs, no "Groups" or spacing breaks
are created.

What am I doing wrong? any help appreciated.
