$$Excel-Macros$$ Re: Help with Combo Box and Display

2009-07-11 Thread Sunny Agarwal
Hi,
U just need to select the entire ROW OF COMPANY
by pressing on C,D,E OR F ( the row in which Company is)only, and
apply filter.your answer is solved. So,u will b able to filter only according
to your choice.

 Hi ashish
 attached is the excel file.

 1. select the sheet1
 2. then run the macro attached. this will populate the combobox in the next
sheet with unique items of Company_Name
 3. Change your selection in the combo box and the table below gets filled
 accordingly..

if u make addition to the master table, you just need to run the macro once
again and the combo box will get filled with the unique values
 automatically..

 Hope this helps.

 Hi

Been racking my brains for a few days but simply seem to have blanked out.
I have an excel file with the following headers.

 Product|Version|Status|Date|Executive|Company Name|Contact|

Note: All the rows under the headers can be repeated multiple times.
Filter is an obvious method to get data fulfilling a criteria. But I would
like to avoid use of Filter

Is there any method wherein I can create a combo box on Company Name and
get a list of all corresponding entries under the Company Name thus
selected from the combo box. Further, is it possible to get only a unique
list in the combo box but on selection, display all the rows and columns
with the matching Company Name? This, is possible, would have to be done
in a new sheet. Its ok with me as long as the combo box and display
properties gets updated every time I update the list in the main worksheet.

By the way, I am using Excel 2007.

 Thanks

may be conflicting) go to Format--Cells--Customs select the date format you
want. Its done.Even if this doesnt works than simply delete the entire date
