2015-04-16 Thread Prashant Pednekar
Dear Kumar,

Deciding min Max level based on 3 month data is bit unscientific,you need
to have at least 6 months data. Based on data provided by you, I have
answered your queries.

As mentioned by you GEOFORCE is external warehouse. It is not clear if the
stock at other location is replenished from GEOFORCE,.Hence i have given
two pivots and minitab box plot analysis.

Hope this will solve your query.

Prashant Pednekar.

Hi mandeep.

I have to compare prices of different varieties in various markets across
markets. Mostly the price comparison is on daily/weekly/Monthly/Yearly
basis and thier absolute change or diffrence between two dates.

But in the above formula mentioned by you,i have to select dates for
various reports and to compare the different dates but in this i have to
change the formula daily.

And also to keep out the market or variety whom price are not available for
the two dates.

Is there any permanent way ,any coding or any other way.

 We can see that value in Cell C24 of GRF 110_1 sheet appears in cell B69

 Similarly do for all the cells of the workbook and now insert a new

 The entire table has to be considered by the function (A1:C10).
 Each line has to be evaluated on its own, eg A1:C1.
 If the contents of A or B are 1 AND the value of C is 23400, then the
 function has succeeded.

 If the function succeeds, the final result of the function has to be
 increased by 1.

 In this example, the function has succeeded in the following rows:

 row 2
 row 3
 row 9

 In this example, the function was executed successfully three times - so
 the final result of the function is 3.

 Can someone please help by creating a function dealing with this problem?

 Hey Kris,

 Thanks for the quick response, however I am looking for the code for not
 just adding the image in excel.
 I want to use the the data available in that picture to further make the
 changes in excel.

 Example:

 I had the data set available in excel like, result out of 100:

 Student Name   Exam1 Exam2
 Exam3   Total
 Kris  65
 70 50  185
 Raju 70 65
 70  190
 Sanju   50 65
 70  185

 and provide this summary to the class teacher by printing this and removed
 the excel. Now after validating exam paper I relize, I have to update Exam1
 marks for Sanju as 60 and Total as 195 and I scanned this paper to further
 making the adjustments in excel.

 Can you guys suggest me, how I can convert available information of the
 JPG/gif/PNG in excel for further changes as I don't want to prepare the
 excel again and then print. I want to use the scanned image for the
 correction.

 Thanks
 Shekhar Sharma

$$Excel-Macros$$ Re: Help Needed!

2010-09-02 Thread amrahs k
Hi Vasant,

I am trying to create a macro to do this below task to avoid manual efforts.
For more details please refer the below email.

Here is my code-

Sub Movefiles()
Dim a As Integer
Dim fso, f2
With Application.FileSearch
.LookIn = C:\LLF\  Range(A1).Value
.FileType = msoFileTypeAllFiles
.Execute
MsgBox Total Files Available is : (.FoundFiles.Count)

a = WorksheetFunction.Sum((.FoundFiles.Count) / 50)
If .FoundFiles.Count  50 Then

On Error GoTo 1
MkDir C:\Amrahs ' change the path and name
MsgBox (Folder Created)

Exit Sub
1 MsgBox (Folder Already Exist!)
Else
If .FoundFiles.Count  50 Then
Do While a  0
MkDir C:\Target\Amrahs  a
MsgBox (Folder Created)
Loop
End If
End If
End With
End Sub

Am getting error message in the highlighted line. Also this code is only use
to create folders based on number of files available in the specified
folder. If the folder contains 500 files then it should be divided by a
constant number 50 and you will get 10. So 10 folders needs to be created.

Additonally while creating folders the code should move 50 files to the
first folder and the next 50 files to the second folder and so on. At last
all the 500 files should be moved to the respective 10 folders. If the file
count is 480 or 500 then the remaining files should be moved to the last
folder.

Please look into this and help me to overcome this issue since it is very
much required as every time am doing it manually.

Any idea or suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a lot!
-Sharma

Just Try this code.

Dim CELL As Variant

Range(B2:B105).Select

For Each CELL In Selection

If IsEmpty(CELL) Then
 With CELL.Offset(0, -1).Interior
.ColorIndex = 3
.Pattern = xlSolid
.PatternColorIndex = xlAutomatic
End With
Else
With CELL.Interior
.ColorIndex = 10
.Pattern = xlSolid
.PatternColorIndex = xlAutomatic
End With
End If
Next

You may need to change the colorindex as per your pallate.

Suppose if you want the value of cell 'A1' of sheet 1 in the cell B1 of

and select 'A1'. Try it ...it's very simple...

If i understand your query correctly , then the solution would be as
follows

=
1. write the formula in J2 ... = I2 - D2
2. Copy the cell J2 (Ctrl + C)
3. Select the range J2 to J121
4. Paste (Ctrl + V)

but since this is a very very very beginner query,m i doubt i am right.
So please elaborate if this is not what you want

2009-08-12 Thread Abdul Rehman
Hi Vivek,

Thank you for such a quick response. What I want to do is to calculate the
response time for the complete sheet with a single formula. As you have
noticed that I am right now using individual formula to get the figure in
each cell. By the end of month this sheet will be about 400 long and then it
becomes very tedious to input formula in each cell individually. S

So I wanted to know if you can input a single formula that will calcuate the
value for column J for all rows i.e. 2 to (say) 400.

And would it be possible to conver these value into minutes??

Regards,
Abdul Rahman.

the range from the first phone number till row number 65536) 2. Select the
cell from where first phone number is ans name the cell as
First_Phone_Number 3. Above steps to be followed only once 4. Click on the

 Hi Ajay,

 This is Okay! and it is absolutely working fine.

 But I need a macro to pop up an error message for the incorrect phone
 format because am not going to enter any phone number in the required
 spreadsheet.

 I need to check for the phone number which was captured incorrect. There
 are large phone numbers has been captured or provided in the Excel file that
 am currently working upon.

 My job is to find out the incorrect phone number and correct the same.

 For this I required any macro that will give me an alert message when i
 run it.

 Thanks alot for your suggestion and views.

$$Excel-Macros$$ Re: Help needed in email writing

2009-05-26 Thread ddadmin2009
Hi, check the below link to write the excel sheet to Word. The code in the
article does not satisfy all your requirements, you might want to tweak the
code according to your requirements. Also to know the details of saving word
to PDF, you might want to check in some PDF forums too. They will have a
good idea about the pdf versions and related dlls that you need to reference
before writing the macro.
http://funwithexcel.blogspot.com/2009/04/writing-excel-contents-into-file-dat.html
But definitely you requirements needs some effort.
Hope this helps.

 HI all,

 I have a sheet, from which i have to copy particualr data from the
 sheet, then paste it in the fixed place in word and save the file as
 *.pdf. there are hundreds of such cases to be dealt with. Is there any
 way to have amacro in place to do it in a faster way.

 In short :-
 1) the macro should select the data (some selected rows) and copy it
 in the word.
 2) after pasting the data, save the word file as PDF
 3) get the next data.

 Any help would be great.
