HELP E2k and E2k3
Hi I have a single Exchange 2000 server that used the default SMTP VS to deliver and pick up internet mail from a smart host. Which worked fine. I wanted to upgrade to E2k3, so installed a new second server and installed E2k3 on this. Install worked fine. I moved a test user to the new server. This test user is able to send mail messages out but is unable to recieve messages from the Internet. The sender gets a NDR saying undiliverable because of a mail loop , Status: 4.4.6. I also noticed that messages between the two servers is being sent out to the smart host by the first E2k server and keeps looping. Do I have to configure the default SMTP VS on the second E2k3 server? OR do I remove the smart host settings from the 1st server and configure a SMTP Connector to send and receive Internet mail from the smart host.? Help Please. Sharing GAL between Exch 5.5 and Exch 2k
Hi We need to share the GAL between two different Exchange versions and Organisations. (Exchange 5.5 and Exchange 2000) I am trying to do the following.. >From Exchange 5.5, directory exported the users from the recipients container with the following headers.. Obj-Class,First Name,Last name,Display Name,Alias Name,E-mail address,Office,Title,Phone number,Department,Obj-Container Then try to import these into Exchange 2000 using LDIFE. ( or even csvde). Anybody know what the corresponding column names are between the two. I also use CSVDE to export the users from Exchange and then trying to directory import in Exchange 5.5 with changes made to the column headings. Any information or links would be appreciated. Missing Exchange Tabs
Hi I am testing the migration to Exchange 2k from 5.5 in a test suite. I have Server1 which is the AD root. Server2 has Exchange5.5 SP4 installed. We have already migrated our users to W2k using ADMT, but still using Exch5.5. In my test suite I installed ADC off the E2k CD on Server2. Replication worked. Created disabled users that it could not find in AD. Ran ForestPrep and then DomainPrep. When I run ADUC on Server2, and click on users, some users display the 4 Exchange tabs, others only the one tab (Exchange Features). I have not yet installed Exchange 2k. I am planning to do a an In-place upgrade. Does anybody know why.
