New languages in OWA spelling

2003-10-01 Thread Rui Silva
Hi all,
Is there a way of adding new dictionaries to the OWA spelling. I would
like to add a new language but so far I didn't figure it out how to do
it.

Txs.

Exchange 2000/2003 coexistence

2003-09-26 Thread Rui Silva
Hi all.
I currently have 1 Exchange Server 2000 SP3, single site.
I'm planning to upgrade to Exchange 2003. My plan is:
- install a second server with Windows Server 2003 and Exchange Server
2003
- Join this Exchange to the existing Organization
- Move all the mailboxes (about 25)
- Remove the old server

I would like to hear some comments from you because all the documents
I've read talk about first upgrading the existing Exchange 2000 Server.

Hi all.
Suddenly my OWA stopped functioning. Now when I open my browser (IE 6.0
SP1) and go to the OWA site I get a directory listing with folders for
each of my organisation users.

Any idea?

OK, I found KB article q289869 that solved my situation (after a reboot)

I wonder what caused this situation? I think it has something to do with
DAVEX...

Subject: HOWTO: Block messages at server-side

Hi all
I would like to block messages from someone at server-side (Exchange). I tried to use
an Outlook Rule to permanently delete messages from someone, but this kind of rule is
a client-only rule. Is there another way I can do this? I just want to stop receiving
annoying messages from someone without receiving them in Outlook.

Thanks.

RE-Post: PFADMIN

2003-03-18 Thread Rui Silva
I don't know if I had any replies on this subject (I had a little
trouble with my mail), so if you could answer it again... BTW I was
unable to search the archives. Are you sure the link is right?

Anyone knows the correct syntax for the PFADMIN tool for Exchange 2000?
I want to use listACL for a text file and then SetACL using the same
text file. And, BTW, anyone knows how to change the text file? It seems
this version is a little bit different from the one that comes with the
Exchange 5.5 Resource Kit.

Thanks.

OST Recovery

2002-09-30 Thread rui . silva

A user in my company used to have a mailbox different than the one he
has now. The old mailbox has been deleted and he still has the offline
folders (OST). He would like to recover some messages from the old
mailbox, but the problem is that he deleted the old profile.
So, according to Microsoft the recovery is impossible, but, I was
wondering if any of you know some kind of tool to make this possible.

Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance.

Exchange HELL

2002-09-26 Thread rui . silva

I was recently given the responsibility for an Exchange 2000 Server.
This server has lots of problems:

1- The database disk is full, it has only 16MB free. The database has
5GB.

2- The online defragmentation tells me that the database has 1,9GB free,
but I don't have enough free space to do an offline defrag.

3- When I run System Manager I only see "Recipients" and "Tools".
There's no sign of "Global Settings" and "Administrative Groups"

4- When I select "Recipients" I get the messages
"An invalid ADSI pathname was passed"
"An operations error occurred"

I would like to hear your suggestions to solve all this problems.

Thanks in advance.
