When you have a mixed site (basically two servers within the same site - 5.5 & 2000), where would you find that connection information between the two server to be able to change it? (I see nothing of interest in the App log on the Exchange 2000 server.) My guess is that either the X.400 standards settings (version/year, two way alternate, etc) are set wrong, or there is a name resolution issue between the servers.
