RE: Unable to move items to a PST
I recall when the version of NAVMSE came out that I'm running, there was some sort of MAPI issue where it wouldn't (sometimes?) be able to scan _outgoing_ SMTP messages because of the MAPI API not notifying the scanner in time to do anything about it. This was one reason that the VAPI/MAPI mode was desirable. I looked around on Symantec's knowledgebase for something on this, but I couldn't seem to come up with anything on this. Perhaps I am imaging things? The dilemna that I have is, Is it worth it to change from a scanning mode that seems to be meeting the primary objective (squashing viruses) to change to a different scanning mode that *may* not be able to catch all viruses under certain circumstances, but will prevent a relatively minor client problem. RE: Unable to move items to a PST
I've seen this a few times and NAV isn't in our picture - nor any other EXS based scanning. It seems to me to have something to do with the client, and in the cases I've seen it's intermittent. RE: Unable to move items to a PST
It also may simply be due to RPC limitations. If the table (folder item list) you try and move/copy results in 32K of RPC data, the transaction will fail. Same problem we have dealing with rules and other things MAPI based. Move/Copy fewer items, and it should work. === Andy Webb[EMAIL PROTECTED] www.swinc.com Simpler-Webb, Inc.
