RE: Removing Exchange - what happens to Info and Data Stores?
The "nope" means that the info and data stores are erased during removal? Thanks again. RE: Upgrade from Windows 98 SE to Win2k - missing .pst file
Thanks for the additional insight. I checked for hidden files with the .pst extension, but couldn't find one. Is it possible that the data was written to a file with an extension other than ".pst"? Could the upgrade simply have erased the file? Thanks again. After reattaching to Exchange, I could not find any of the contacts or other data. I'm assuming the Outlook was directing the data to a .pst file and that this file was stored in the folder containing the user's profile data. However, I cannot find a .pst file anywhere. So, could the upgrade of the OS have erased this file? Can outlook read/write to a file with an extension other than .pst? Thanks in advance. RE: Upgrade from Windows 98 SE to Win2k - missing .pst file
Thanks for the insight, but I checked all servers this user maps to. Of course, as luck would have it, these servers are at remote locations, so I had to have other staff check. And take their word for it that they did indeed check.
