Re: Outlook in Other Languages

2002-04-16 Thread Torben Frandsen

Kevin,

Have you considered Usenet? Most countries should have a language group or
a suitable computing group.

Torben

Following on from my recent request, I still don't have the translations of
the items in the following languages:

 1) French
 2) Italian
 3) Spanish
 4) Portuguese
 5) Swedish

As a reminder, I need translations of the following text as they appear in
 Outlook:

 Public Folders
 Personal Address Book
 Personal Folders
 Outlook Address Book
 Mailbox

Please help as this will go to make a profile generator that will be
 available free.

Let me know if you do.
We use newprof.exe and I hate it.
Will your profiler be able to set things such as the folder view, no preview pane, and meeting resource settings?

I know I've asked this before but I need some help.

I'm looking for translations of the following terms as they apply to
Outlook:

1) Public Folders
2) Personal Address Book
3) Personal Folders
4) Outlook Address Book

If you are a user of Outlook in Dutch, French, German, Italian, Spanish etc,
I would be grateful if you could send me the text that is displayed by
Outlook for these terms.

To explain, I have a utility that builds mail profiles from the command line
(createprf.exe at www.mailsoftware.co.uk). However, the interface I use
creates these profiles with English text. If people on this list can give me
these translations, I can rebuild this utility for international use.

Thanks.

Kevin

 In Dutch.

 Public Folders - Openbare Mappen
Personal Address Book - Persoonlijk Adresboek
 Personal Folders - Persoonlijke Mappen
Outlook Address Book - Outlook Adresboek

In Danish:

Public Folders - Offentlige mapper
Personal Address Book - Privat adressekartotek
Personal Folders - Private mapper
Outlook Address Book - Outlook-adressekartotek

That reminds me of a question I heard a lot on my trip to USA in '93:
So, what language do you speak in Denmark? Dutch? I must have met
people who were less educated than the average list member here. :~)

Thanks.

Kevin

Outlook in languages other than English

2002-04-09 Thread Snook, Kevin S (ITD)

Does anyone know where I can find a list of the available languages for
Outlook and specifically a list of the translated display texts. For
example, Mailbox in English, Postbus in Dutch, Personal Address Book in
English, ??? in French, Outlook Today in English, ??? in Spanish. Where can
I find a list of what these translated items should be?
