RE: SMTP Servers
If the company isn't big enough to use Exchange, or doesn't want to pay for it, what is wrong with using IIS SMTP Server? Won't this accomplish what you want? I think you'll find it should have the functionality that you (they) need. RE: SMTP Servers
Is the IIS Smtp Svc just for SMTP, I don't think it supports mailboxes cause then it would be a POP3\SMTP Server. I have never used the SMTP service and never looked into its workings but I don't think it could be used. If it can be, can someone point me to some good information on its usage and configuration? -Original Message- From: Benjamin Winzenz [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, August 29, 2001 3:22 AM To: MS-Exchange Admin Issues Subject: RE: SMTP Servers If the company isn't big enough to use Exchange, or doesn't want to pay for it, what is wrong with using IIS SMTP Server? Title: RE: SMTP Servers I have had pretty good luck with a POP/SMTP server from ArGoSoft. The price is right - free. They also have versions that include more features for fairly cheap and it is very easy to set up. The full blown version is only $88. Of course it is not exchange but for five users it will work just fine. http://www.argosoft.com Chris -Original Message- From: Mark L.
