RE: Exch 2010 Activesync issue
Joe. I think it depends on the phone. I've got droid x's with 2.2, ipads, ipods and one Incredible working peachy with ex 2010. A couple original droids with 2.2 and they wont work without touchdown. Not using TMG so that may be a whole nother battle. -Original Message- From: Joseph Heaton [mailto:jhea...@dfg.ca.gov] Sent: Friday, October 01, 2010 3:04 PM To: MS-Exchange Admin Issues Subject: Exch 2010 Activesync issue Anyone here using Droid phones with Exchange 2010 Activesync? Anyone get it to work? I've done Google research, found tons of references to issues with Droid and Exchange, but not many at all referencing 2010. Also, our setup in the lab is going through TMG 2010, so that may have something to do with it too, although we did follow the Technet article for publishing Activesync. The error I'm getting is "Login to the account failed, please try again." I've tried with SSL, for which we're using a wildcard cert from Verisign, and without SSL, no difference. If anyone has gotten it to work, without using Touchdown, I'd appreciate hearing about it. Re: Exch 2010 Activesync issue
If you're dealing with just a direct internet connection, shouldn't be too difficult. You'll need the Virtual Machine network driver installed. This download is for Virtual PC 2007 which includes the required driver. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=04d26402-3199-48a3-afa2-2dc0b40a73b6&DisplayLang=en Within your emulator, click on File / Configure, Network, and bind the NE2000 PCMCIA card to your network card. Open IE on the mobile device and try browsing. If it doesn't work, click on Start, Settings, Connections, advanced, select networks, change both options to 'My Work Network'. That should be it. - Sean On Tue, Oct 5, 2010 at 10:14 AM, Joseph Heaton wrote: > Sean, > > Stupid question time. Sean, Stupid question time. I've downloaded the emulators, and I'm trying to use the WM 6.1.4 Professional - VGA emulator. How do I get it to be able to access the internet, so I can test? Re: Exch 2010 Activesync issue
I have seen issues with driod 2.1 and 2010. The mailbox gets out of sync and starts showing incorrect message data. I.E. the to/from will be correct but the body will be from a different message. This did not happen at first sync but did show it's ugly head shortly there after. 2.2 (froyo) seems to be a lot more stable.
Yep, that's pretty much what I've been seeing, was just hoping that someone had figured it out. What I'm really trying to do at the moment, is simply test our Activesync setup, to make sure it works, and we don't have any WM devices around. My phone guy is supposed to be getting me a couple of WM test devices soon, though, so we'll see then. >>> "Michael B.
