[expert] Mandrake 8.0 NMB loading problem...

2001-04-24 Thread Amir Tal

Hi list,

I just finished installing the new mandrake 8.0 and when I am booting for
the first time,
everything loads up to the nmb services...and it gets stuck there...
this happened both at my home and office machines...
any ideas what might caused this ?
I need nmb because I am in an NT LAN, and need samba.
is there a way to temporary disable nmb ?

thanks.

What am I missing/doing wrong here?

I have webmin installed and it is running. Whenever I try to connect to
"http://localhost:1/" or "http://localhost.localdomain:1/" it fails.
In konqueror I get an error message that the "connection is broken". If I
try to connect from mozilla, nothing happens at all. I can't see any
messages in /var/log/messages about it...or anywhere else for that matter.

What is needed to run webmin?
