Onely on minor problem with this installation: the KDE menu entries for Photo Paint 9 were lacking. Have to be transferred "manually" from the 6.4 installation of the other box to the SuSE 7.0 installation. Everything else seems to be as under SuSE 6.4. No SCSI on my work machine but otherwise I don't see any differences that would cause a problem. On another topic, what SCSI scanner are you using? Agfa Snapscan 600 Question: how should I interpret the relative silence of this list about WPO 2000. Several possibilities come to my mind: - this discussion about WPO 2000 happened before I subscribed to this list some days ago. - (different from Larry Marshall and me) there is consensus that WPO 2000 is a bad product and nearly no one has bought it. - there is a much better Office product. Which? - (different from Larry Marshall) there is general consensus about mandrake: don't use it for WPO 2000. My brain just integrated this. I've got a "Red Hat" distribution with my WPO CD. Are you talking about the basic .setup script that installs ALL versions or something else? I have applied the PhotoPaint update script for wine to update the wine libraries used by WPO 2000 to the newer ones of the Photo Paint distro. No success: LM 7.1 freezes completely each time when I close WordPerfect. The system has then to be restartet with a hard reset. My Hardware: 2x466 Celeron, Matrox G400DH, 1 IDE HD, 1 IDE CDROM, 1 SCSI HD, 2 SCSI adapters (2940UW, NCR53C810), PCI soundcard (trident 4DwaveNX chip), SCSI-streamer, SCSI MO drive, SCSI scanner. [expert] Wordperfect Office 2000 on 7.2beta3?
There is a notorious problem with the installation of the FontTastic Font Server on non-Debian-based distros. Now my question: Has anyone succeeded to install Wordperfect Office 2000 on Mandrake 7.2beta3. Wordperfect Office 2000 (similar Corel Photo Paint) wants to use xfstt but can't, yielding the usual error message: can't add FontTastic fontserver to fontpath ...
