Re: [expert] How does one get konqueror to work with java?
Hi ! Javascript has nothing to do with Java. It's a totally different think. Javascript support is integrated idn Konqui and it works, at least for me, great (in 2.0, 2.0.1 and now in 2.1beta). So, Java works also if you have installed a Java Development Kid and entered the correct path in the konqui condifuration. I tried it with the blackdown JDK 1.2 and it works, as far as I can say, great. First you should know if you need Java or Javascript. If you want Javascript support in Konqui you must activate it in the configuration. It should work with every KDE >=2.0... If you want Java support you have to install a jdk and put the correct path into the configuration (mine is: "/usr/local/jdk1.2.2/") ... so... timo Keep in touch with http://mandrakeforum.com: Subscribe the "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" mailing list.

I can't find the thememanager too :( But I have no problems logging in and out, but I haven't done that many time today... so, I can't say much to that. I don't have any problems with my bookmarks and the bookmark manager also works fine... Did you uninstall the old rpms before installing the new ones? I had problems once I did it without installing the old ones... so long, Timo Keep in touch with http://mandrakeforum.com: Subscribe the "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" mailing list.

Hello List! After having some trouble with updateing KDE2 to KDE2.0.1 I uninstalled all KDE packages and installed the new KDE2.0.1 packages. Nearly everthing went fine and I got nearly no problems with the new packages, even Konqui ist somewhat stable now... but, Konqueror doens't find my installed Netscape Plugins nor there is this kcmshell module to configure the Netscape Plugins for Konqueror. Anyone got the same problem or know some advise??? so long, Timo Keep in touch with http://mandrakeforum.com: Subscribe the "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" mailing list.
[expert] KDE2.0.1 & FTP
Hello List! I just updates from KDE 2 to KDE 2.0.1 and most things work fine. I installed the new rpms and most things are ok, but I cannot connect to any ftp site requiring user name und password. It everytime says "The process fot the ftp://xxx.xx protocol died unexpectedly." so, anyone has the same problem or anyone has some hints how to fix that? I really like the Konqueror as an ftp client but now ... :( Oh, anonymous ftp connection work... so long, Timo Keep in touch with http://mandrakeforum.com: Subscribe the "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" mailing list.
[expert] KDE2 Toolbars
Hello List ! I want text under the icons in the toolbars. In one beta you could change that for every kde application, but now in KDE final this option is gone. Only a global setting is there, but it doesn't work. I can chose whatever I want (text only, icon only, text under icon, text beside icon) it only shows the icon without text. Any hints? To run netscape, which command should I issue? if you want Netscape without all that crap, try beonex (www.beonex.org).
