Re: [expert] 6.1 bugs: rpm 2.2.13-22mdk kernel
I've upgraded 2.2.13-22mdk kernel with 2.2.13-29mdk kernel but now I see in dmesg: raid5: measuring checksumming speed raid5: MMX detected, trying high-speed MMX checksum routines pII_mmx : 745.236 MB/sec p5_mmx: 774.954 MB/sec 8regs : 410.337 MB/sec 32regs: 236.220 MB/sec using fastest function: p5_mmx (774.954 MB/sec) insted of 879.??? MB/sec for p5_mmx. Two questions: 1) this means that this kernel is slower (about 11%) than 2.2.13-22 or not ? 2) I'm sure have P][ why optimization for p5_mmx is better for me ? Thanks.
