I had no problems with Gnome-Toatser on a LiteOn 32x12x40.
Everything went swimmingly.

Re: [expert] kde3 packages for 8.2?

2002-04-04 Thread Steven Spears

Francisco:

I just went to www.kde.org and then to their downloads and picked and FTP
server. In there there should be a stable folder and then a 3.0 folder. In
side will be the distros. Just choose Mandrake and then 8.2. That's all I
did.

They may even have better links up on the site by now since they have
officially released it.

Re: [expert] 8.1 - very unstable

2002-01-07 Thread Steven Spears

Currently running 8.1 on three desktops and one laptop. I've yet to have a
problem with stability. One machine is a generic (everything built on board)
pc that I use everday to work on Window machines (HEHE Using Linux to work on
Windows), and it has never failed me. This machines runs for nine hours in a
day and gets about as much abuse as I can dish out.

The others are home machines and they have been running without error since
installation. They are both 1ghz Amd/ASUS machines.

Re: [expert] Dead Mouse Wheel.

2002-01-02 Thread Steven Spears

Hello:

Hit ctrl+esc and see if IMWHEEL is running. If it is kill it (if there is
more than one, kill them all!). Now try your whell mouse. This was happening
to me until I killed IMWHEEL.

Let me know if this helps,

Steve
