This is a real PITA and it has been on the newbie list as well. If someone tells me that this is from the senders server, then I'm not gonna believe it, coz why did all the sender servers choose to use this message on this particular day? And another problem, am I the only one getting 2 - 3 posts from Sympa? There seems to be just one fix, remove Sympa and get tried and tested Majordomo to do the work. Get to the bleeding edge with M'Domo 2 and do it. Even though Debian seems to have struck off Majordomo from Potato, it remains the best configurable and reliable mail list manager. [expert] key bindings for Fn keys in inputrc
Helo list The Midnight Commander shell allows the use of hot keys like F3 to view, F7 to copy and so on. I want to use these globally as well, especially Fn key bindings to copy, save, etc etc. I think I have to put something in the .inputrc for this. Can anyone point out what exactly needs to be put there to get the function keys to work as in MC? And if anyone has a custom inputrc with some of these quick tricks, could you please post it? Thanks Sthitaprajna | (at)mailandnews(dot)com "So many people, so little purpose."

Then it prolly means that X4 is not installed. Try doing it al over again. IIRC, XF4 has a different path than XF3.3.6. Follow the readme files and you'll be up in no time. > Second, how do I configure PPP? I do NOT use KDE, and never will, so > please don't tell me what everyone else has: use KPPP. It is something like windows dial-up-networking and understands a lot of protocols like, PAP, CHAP, etc...It is fairly easy to set up as well. In addition, you'll have to edit /etc/resolv.conf to look like: search [your_ISP's_domain] nameserver [ISP_nameserver1] nameserver [ISP_nameserver2] pppd alos dies when it does'nt find the default route. SO check if those settngs are correct. If however you want to write your own ppp script, do a "tknarr xmission linux" search in google, and it takes you to a nice page where you'll find conf options for ppp, mail, etc. Sthitaprajna | (at)mailandnews(dot)com

It should look something like: search [your_ISP's_domain] nameserver [isp's nameserver1] nameserver [isp's nameserver2] nameserver [isp's nameserver3] Also, check your default route, and turn off linuxconf if it starts at boot. [expert] Configuring Postfix
Hi How do I configure the postfix MTA? I am prety familiar with sendmail after running it on RHL for a long time. Basically, I would like it to send mails from my [EMAIL PROTECTED] rather that user@localhost. I would also need functionality to send mail from a web based address, like say [EMAIL PROTECTED] using the smtp relay at my ISP. Is this possible. URLs are appreciated.
