[expert] Slightly OT - Apache Mod_SSL

Hi everyone :) 

I have a MDK 8.2 box with Apache 1.3.23, it has come time to renew the ssl 
certificate for this machine.

Now i have been through and generated the csr etc etc and it has been 
signed and now i have to add the new certificate and encrypted key to the 
servers config.

Basically what i was trying to do was to back up the old ones and then 
create the new ones in their place named as they were. Restart httpd and 
technically i should be up and away.  

Now when i start apache i get it hanging, when i check syslog it is 
waiting for the password.

Now i may have had temporary brain failure but how can i redirect the 
standard out from syslog to a terminal where i can put in the password and 
the second part of my question is when i use the command 

openssl rsa -in new.key -out new.key.decrypted

And change the appropriate lines in ssl.vhost-conf i get a key mismatch.

I would appreciate any assistance as the old certificate expires tomorrow.

hi,

i'm wondering if it's possible to add users to mandrak 7.1 and they should
only be allowed to login via ftp, not via telnet/ssh.
(creating a new user enables telnet).

Sorry for the disagrement...
but I think it could be the right place because it can be due to a
misconfiguration of the Apache which is running on Mandrake 6.0.

Hi all!

I'm running a Mandrake 6.0 server with Apache 1.3.6 and i made a c
program which return an html document on stdout named test.cgi an d located
in /home/httpd/html/seb/c . When apache try to read it he return me an
Internal Server Error and in the log file it is malformed header for script.

Where can i find how to install perl to have it access MySQL databases ?
Or who can help me?

My problem is that perl 5.005 is installed (Mandrake 6.0), I got RPMS for
MySQL on the net but I can't access databases from perl...
I need mysql.pm.

Hi all!

I 've got a problem when i try to install MySQL in my Mdk6.0 :
>From RPM : he need lib ncurses v3 whereas v5 is installed an from make he
crash as parse error in a header file (m_string.h)

Please help ...
