I did not see a listing on Data Fellows' web site for "Kugoe Says Not
Today". It may be a variant of Kak.

Kak: see: http://www.datafellows.com/news/2000/2330.html. Please tell
the people on that list to upgrade their virus detection software and get
the fixes from M$.

Dagnabit, I haven't run Windows for six months on my production computer
preciely to get away from all their viruses, and they follw me onto Linux
lists. Arrh! :-)

I suspect you can safely leave it alone. I doubt it is a Linux virus; very
few exist. However

Check on one of the authoritative sites, like that of datafellows, and see
how they describe it.

In any case, please 1) do not retransmit it, and 2) take your "idiot
friend" out back of the woodshed and have words with him, her, or it.

Is this any problem for us Linux users? Another list I'm on is swapping the
Kak virus back and forth, and it's another Outlook virus. It's transmitted
via the signature, not an attachment.

It shouldn't hurt your linux box. I would suggest you don't run it on
the window's box if you're running a dual boot.
