When I ran a similar script, the reflector http://dynamic.zoneedit.com/auth/dynamic.html? it came back asking me for user and pass, tho I had supplied that on the command line. Whereas, when I ran the same thing using the reflector http://checkip.dyndns.org, it didn't. I have always used dynamic dns... they offer free and paid for, whenever I set up a box using it, I send them 20dollars.. Hi Stephen, I use dhs.org myself, and have never had any problems with it (I have more problems with my ISP). dhs.org provides dynamic IP mapping free of charge, allows you to setup multiple hosts and provides wildcard matching as well (eg ftp.yourdomain.dhs.org, www.yourdomain.dhs.org). Dynamic Host Services(http://www.dhs.org/) are free, and you can add as many static or dynamic hosts as you want. The only thing is that you have to update your details through a web-based form. If you've got a static IP, why not have your ISP host DNS records for you?
