From the old days when radio was new, they believed that the RF waves
propigated through ether, the word probably being drived from ethereal.
Anyway, they saw it as magic, much the same way ethernet works. 8)

Unfortunately, posting to the list is giving me fits. I think my
messages are actually being posted because I saw a response from Pierre
to one on my postings. Yet, I never saw my own post. This leads me to
think that maybe it is my pop3 server that is screwing up.

I don't think it's your server that's in question, Dr J...cause I have
been noticing the exact same thing. Sometimes I see replies to what I
have posted before I see my own message hit the list; and this has been
happening ever since I joined.

 I am still
receiving mail at a ISP pop3 server because when I joined the list some
three years ago, I did not have my own mail server running. Looks like I
will have to rejoin again but everyone will have to promise to never,
 ever send html postings :-)

 drjung

Do you think it's possible that rejoining would solve the problem? I'm
not so sure of that

But I do promise to keep on boycotting the html email. ;)

Of course I will not start a discussion about which country/place has
the best examples of Bikini Theory, thsi is not the place for it (what
was the original topic about anyway?) But from all I see from Miami/US,
your bikinis are *MUCH* larger than ours... I can garantee you that. :^)
American bikinis even don't qualify as string bikinis here. In case
you are wondering , these bikinis are actually called dental string
bikinis here.

And, pardon me... one seems to take off the top part of the theory and
you are posting in a linux mailing list? Americans, go figure... :^D
