pine does also "sort by subject".

mutt does it pretty good... I get a really nice threaded mailbox for
mailing lists... =)

I'll second that. I've been using mutt myself for a few years now
and I haven't wanted to try anything else yet. Pretty lightweight
but so powerful. It's great!

The PGP/GPG support is also done nicely.

I use Netscape with the sorting by subject, and it seems to work quite
well for purposes of this mailing list, at least.

Outlook Express does a good job of it too. (I just *detest*
Outlook! ) Despite it being a Micro$oft product, OE is a
darned nice email client. Now, if only they didn't make it
DEFAULT to html! :-)

Well, you are obviously a well-trained Microserf, putting your reply at
the top of the message like that. :-)

Have you tried mutt? It threads quite well, and has support for gpg/pgp as
well. http://www.mutt.org

Sort By Thread (WAS: [expert] missing SSH ?)

2000-06-22 Thread jlemay

Just a quick comment, and I'll probably get blasted for it, but I haven't
found a mail client for Linux that does "View by Thread" as well as MS
Outlook. Netscape is horrible, I don't think Polarbar does it, and I
haven't been happy with other clients I've tried.
