They said other forms of yoga and meditation likely have a similar
impact on cortical structure, although each tradition would be
expected to have a slightly different pattern of cortical thickening
based on the specific mental exercises involved.

Will be interesting to see if TM has this effect. It doesn't affect
one hemisphere over the other and isn't a mental exercise.

[FairfieldLife] Day of Awakening Celebration - today in Washington DC

2005-11-12 Thread George DeForest

Today 11/12/05:

** Maharishi to Address Global Celebrations of
the Day of Awakening of Permanent World Peace

** New Capital of the Global Country of World Peace
to Be Established in Washington, DC To Create
Coherent National Consciousness - the Basis of
Ideal, Prevention-Oriented Administration

His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, founder of the
Global Country of World Peace, will address the
grand, global celebrations of the Day of Awakening
of Permanent World Peace, to be held on Saturday,
November 12-the Day of Awakening of Total Natural Law
in the annual Vedic calendar.

Maharishi will speak live via satellite and Internet webcast
from the Capital of the Global Country of World Peace
in Meru, Holland. The celebration will begin at 1:00 p.m. (ET).

During the festivities, His Highness Raja Dr. Dean Dodrill,
the Raja of Washington, will announce the establishment
of the Capital of the Global Country of World Peace
in Washington, D.C. Raja Dean said the new Capital
will provide government leaders with the knowledge and
scientifically validated programs of Total Natural Law -
the Constitution of the Universe - to create coherent
collective consciousness, which is the basis of
prevention-oriented, problem free administration
and invincibility for the nation.

Washington, D.C. is the capital of the world, Raja Dean said.
Now, with the establishment here of the Capital of the
Global Country of World Peace, Washington will become
a lighthouse of coherence and harmony for the whole world -
a capital of peace - creating permanent peace in the family of nations.

The celebrations in the United States will be held
at The Fairmont Hotel, 2401 M Street, NW, beginning at
12 noon (ET) and will also include a gala luncheon banquet;
the traditional Vedic recitation of the Anthem of the
Global Country of World Peace by Vedic Pandits;
and addresses by Dr. John Hagelin, President of
the U.S. Peace Government and Minister of Science and
Technology of the Global Country of World Peace;
Dr. Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country
of World Peace; and the Rajas of the seven domains
of the Global Country of World Peace in the United States.

Maharishi's celebration of the Day of Awakening
of Permanent World Peace follows by nearly four months
Maharishi's proclamation of the dawn of Heaven on Earth -
Sat Yuga - on July 21, 2005, Guru Purnima Day.

Maharishi announced that his Global Peace Program,
which includes establishing large numbers of
peace-creating Vedic Pandits in India performing
Vedic Yagyas and Grahashanti, as well as groups
of peace-creating Yogic Flyers in every country,
is creating coherent world consciousness - the
basis of permanent world peace.

World press reports since Maharishi launched his
Global Peace Program in April 2005 clearly show
a dramatic a turnaround in world events, including
rapidly increasing harmony between former
enemy nations and a growing rejection by people
throughout the world of destructive government policies.

The time of destruction is over, Maharishi proclaimed.
The light of Total Natural Law - the light of peace - is
dawning for the whole world family.

Has anyone reading here at FFLife had experience in setting up their

lay down a rhythm track or two to practice along with and then
 eventually add some lead lines.

I'd appreciate any advice I can get about doing this.

Well, they do have the lingo down actually... You'll be enlightened

Seems sort of like everyone is giving `deeksha' here. Chalanda Sai
Ma saw Kalki giving deeksh some while ago so she thought `heck I can
do that as a modality' and started giving it and also then teaching
how to give `deeksha'. There is a lot of 'energy work' here otherwise
of the similar modality.

The irony is that one of the first weekends that the couple who were
back from India having learned it for thousands of dollars from Kalki,
the local Chalanda Ma devotees gave a weekend course in how to give
deeksha for 45 bucks to cover the cost.. In both cases it is sort of
a laying of hands on the head energy work in form. From either the
Kalki people here or the Chalanda Ma people here it is nice. Partly
it is nice because of the powerful room of spiritual practitioners who
will git together and be at these meetings. It is a powerful
meditating group here.

As far as money, the Chalanda Sai Ma and Kalki folks here skate a fine
line just to cover costs. People here generally are weary (sensitive)
of the cult thing of raising money. Also, a lot of the money that
used to be here just is not anymore. … Just us spiritual church mice
remain mostly.

Kenny,

I havea setup that I use for my Vedic Mytholoogy podcast. Personally,
I like using Sony Audio Studio for recording software. It is readily
available from a variety of sources and not too expensive $69.

Then I suggest going to a place like MusiciansFriend.com and buy
yourself a good condenser mic ($70 for an MXL), stand $20, and a mixer
with a USB interface (Alesis for $114). and you are all set to go!

Let me know if you need any help.

I guess my point is that proper vastu may be something of an over

I just listened to this excerpt. Initially MMY says that such
experiences are *accidents*, but goes on to modify his statement by
saying that such experiences are due to the karma of the
experiencer, and therefore not really accidents, then modifies that
by saying that a pathless path of knowledge and experience are good
and necessary components of discovering oneself.

To summarize, MMY appears to on the one hand validate such
experiences, and on the other, wants to minimize the importance of
divine experiences as a milestone of one's journey to oneself, or
have the listener understand such experinces as one of an infinite
number of possibilities within the context of understanding oneself.

I agree with his perspective, though I am not sure if it apparent
what he is talking about if one is hearing it from waking state
consciousness.

If we are equating diksha with techniques to facilitate an opening

[FairfieldLife] How to shoot beyond the target: (article on TM - needs leters to the editor- join in)

2005-11-12 Thread Hagen J. Holtz

Meditation movement lacks proper
credentialsEditorialBy Emerald editorial boardNovember 10, 2005A sold-out
crowd packed into 150 Columbia Tuesday night to hear famous filmmaker David
Lynch speak. Perhaps they came to learn about the meaning of his dark films, but
Lynch primarily used his time to promote the controversial practice of
Transcendental Meditation.
This does not seem to be a problem or does it
?A practitioner of TM for 32 years, Lynch wants to raise
billions of dollars to teach it to any child in America who wants to learn it.
Like many TM proponents, Lynch, accompanied by two “experts,” described TM
as a way to usher in world peace and achieve greater personal effectiveness.
Lynch and his comrades couched the practice in scientific terms. But they
didn’t give the audience the whole story. Now famous as the Beatles’
one-time guru, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi founded TM in India in 1958 as the
outgrowth of a Hindu spiritual movement.
A preferredly
applied prejudice ofcritics.
Since then,
more than 6 million people have learned TM, according to the organization’s
Web site. Learning the technique costs $2,500.At first, TM practitioners
meditate for about 20 minutes twice daily with their eyes closed, repeating a
syllabic phrase or “mantra” to reach “pure awareness” and rid themselves
of conscious thought.
A bit superficial description of the
mechanism. We don’t dispute the fact that meditation in
general can be calming and beneficial. Yet we raise questions consumers should
seriously consider before purchasing this commodity as a means to attain
peace.
That one should do.First, we question
the high cost. During his speech, Lynch said people who really want peace will
find the money to pay for TM classes. Some advocates say the cost ensures the TM
movement will persevere and grow, and that the price wouldn’t seem outrageous
if we lived in a culture that values meditation.
This is a lame
argumentation of the TM-Movement. If I persue a non-attractive price, then I
should not be surprised, why noone is joining.
And by the waywhat gives the movement the
right to sell a spiritual good, which is not evenits
"possession",for a price, which rather enhances materialistic
thinking than an attitude of spiritual-matter oriented
balance.
Yet people
can learn many types of meditation for free from books and classes. Proponents
claim the TM mantras are more effective than repeating secular sounds, but some
books on meditation say otherwise.
Opinion against opinion. Scientific research is able to
distinguish the difference. And this has nothing to do with "TM-Science".
Scientists can find out common criteria. We also question the
scientific merits of TM. Advocates claim a multitude of scientific studies
validate the physiological benefits of TM. Many of these studies, however, are
conducted at the organization’s own Maharishi University of Management and
they are not necessarily published in peer-reviewed journals.
This is an
assumption but not a proof for falsification.
Any scholars
thinking about trying TM should check out these scientific claims, especially
those that suggest TM is different from other forms of meditation. We also
cannot find any credible evidence to support the claim that TM creates peace by
“radiating an influence of harmony to your surroundings.” In light of the
recent heated debate over the scientific merit of Intelligent Design, TM should
come under equally rigorous investigation.
Then look more thoroughly into it and find out the
difference!People with certain religious beliefs
should also investigate the religious roots of TM.
Even our modern
science has its religious roots. So it is ridiculous to look for religious
roots. What should be the recognition ?
Although advocates
claim it is simply a “mental technique” and not a religion or philosophy,
historical facts clearly show TM is rooted in Hinduism; the mantras people
repeat during TM are the names of Hindu gods.
There might be a
coincidence but this does not proof anything.
Moreover,
the movement lost a 1979 suit after the New Jersey Supreme Court ruled TM was
based on religious concepts and shouldn’t be taught in schools. TM has been
presented in a secular package to appeal to Westerners.
TM is as little based on religious concepts as sleep is
based on that. It would be interesting how the court might have
argued.Millions of people like Lynch have found TM to be a
satisfying and worthwhile purchase, as demonstrated by their longtime
commitments to the practice. However, we hope listeners at Lynch’s recent
speech take the initiative to investigate the statements made by this salesman
of pseudo-science and evaluate whether they belong in an academic setting like
this University. We think they don’t.
It seems that you are right in being suspicious about the
way of presentation, which does not seem to be down to earth anymore. But this

 Peter,
Thanks for nice and very free notes.
  I feel also some changes,
but I did not yet have find truth.
Maybe because the truth is also a concept.

 By.

 Dear M

there is only one realm in which we cannot find truth: in the self
created
realm of our mind where we dwell in expectation, hope and anticipation.

When your mind functions in the hoping and wishing mode we somehow
deny the
truth of the moment by separating us from what is.

The Truth is aways in front of our eyes. The more we are present and
participate with the realiyt of the moment the more the truth will
reveal
 itself to us.

What is the most difficult thing in life?
To see that which is in front of your eyes
 -Johann Wolfgang Goethe-

The more you are spending time in hoping, anticipating, expecting,
dreaming
and wishing the more space you will create between you and truth.

You are spending to much time in looking for something that may only
exist
 in your imagination

You are made out of truth, every cell and every neuron of your brain is
reverberating and oscillating in the frequency of truth, you are
surrounded
by nothing but truth, every thought you think, every emotion you
feel and
every perception you undertake is nothing but the experience of truth.

How can you say that you have not yet find the truth?

 What you are looking for?

How can a fish being constantly in water be thirsty?

Everything around you is not only an expression of truth but truth
itself.

You are swimming in truth, truth is penetrating every fiber of your
being.

The entire universe with its infinite space-time-geometry is nothing but
 truth.

There is nothing in this existence that is not truth.

Stop this nonsense of meditation if after decades of practise you
are still
 looking for truth.

Every part of truth that you can ever imagine is already there.
Nothing is
 missing.

All the glory of this world is truth; all the misery of this world
is truth,
 too.

Death, suffering, ageing, ignorance are also truth. The entire world
in all
its phases of evolution is truth in the process of expression.

It is not necessary to give up this worldly life to gain the Kingdom of
 God.
This world is itself the Kingdom of God.
 -Anasuya Devi-

There is nothing that is wrong. Everything has its place. And
everything is
 working at it´s optimum.

But we can only see and appreciate that when we are able to face
inner and
outer reality without defence, without denial, without escape and
without
 rebellion against what is.

Just stop searching and open your eyes or continue to search because
also
this searching and seemingly not finding is also truth.

Imagine: If you would start looking for your glases or contact lenses -
even though they are exactly there where they are supposed to be -
on your
nose or already on your eyes - you would only delay the time to find
them.

You already have all the experience you need.
You need not gather any more; rather you must go beyond experience.
Whatever effort you make, whatever method (sadhana) you follow,
will merely generate more experience, but will not take you beyond.
Nor will reading books help you.
 They will enrich your mind,
but the person you are will remain intact.
If you expect any benefits from your search,
material, mental or spiritual, you have missed the point.
 Truth gives no advantage.
It gives you no higher status, no power over others,
all you get is truth and freedom from the false.
 -Sri Nirsagadatta Maharaj-

Enjoy the truth of the moment that is right now revealing itself to you.

 Peter

For me truth or truthfulness is more a process. It means finding out

No need to get a Mac these days since there are plenty of good recording

in the early days the bus was easier implement audio hardware on (though
I found Mac programming a pain in the butt) and many musicians are too
flaky to handle anything more complicated than a Mac. :) Even the
defacto pro standard ProTools is available for Windows.

I use Cakewalk's Sonar myself but mainly for MIDI and also have several
other multi-channel capable audio apps to use. I also just updated
Nero to version 7 and the audio software in it does Dolby 5.1 and 7.1
which is cool to play with.

Ben has given some good recommendations for Windows programs. Audacity
is good but a little slow compared to some of the commercial packages.
Cool Edit which was an affordable editor was bought by Adobe which
turned it into a multi-channel package and priced much higher.

Good luck with your recordings!

[FairfieldLife] FWD; Kalki Trusts Probed

2005-11-12 Thread dhamiltony2k5
Fwd, this was shared around here last week by e-mail. I do not know
the truth of it, but the form of the graft and corruption is an
interesting parrallel for what may be in the TMO indian trusts.

In listening to the Kalki videos at the meetings here, there is a
lot of ego in the guy and about him. Likewise with Sai Ma there is
a lot of empire building going on and they are very theatrical
inside it making it happen for themselves with devotee money. Money
corrupts, infinite money corrupts infinitely?

 News

 4th November, 2003

 Taxmen probe Kalki Bhagwan trusts

He claims to be the 10th and last avatar of Lord Vishnu and has
whipped up quite a following in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and
Karnataka. But investigations by income tax authorities have
revealed that the self-proclaimed 'Kalki Bhagwan' has been
siphoning off funds meant for public projects.

A former LIC clerk-turned-godman, V. Vijaykumar alias Kalki had
floated about a dozen trusts. The trusts collected funds to build
schools and homes for the poor in Chittoor district in Andhra. But
queries by the income tax authorities revealed that most of the
trusts were managed by his family members.

Moreover, within a short span of 10 years, Vijaykumar and son
 N.K.V. Krishna have become multi-millionaires.

In a recent statement to the I-T department, Krishna admitted that
33 vehicles were owned by him, his companies, his wife Ananda Giri
(a preacher in the Kalki camp) and the trusts.

The I-T authorities also discovered that Kalki had 'donated' about
Rs 1.80 crore in 2001 to the Shri Bhagwan Seva Trust, in which his
son Krishna and daughter-in-law Preetha were the only trustees. Of
this, Kalki received Rs 60 lakh in cash at his ashrams.

Huge cash gifts were also traced to private bank accounts of
family members. For example, Krishna had shown Rs 50 lakh as
'gift' from Ananda Giri in his 2000-01 assessment.

When I-T officials sought a meeting with Kalki, his son told them
that his father did not grant interview to everybody. Sources said
Kalki did not respond properly to I-T notices either.

These disclosures were made by the I-T department and the CBI
after a former follower Vishwanath Swami filed a PIL in the Madras
 High Court.

[FairfieldLife] Article- Governing From- Inside the Bunker

2005-11-12 Thread Robert Gimbel

Inside the bunker His administration has become its own republic of fear, and Bush is a prisoner to the right Sidney BlumenthalThursday November 3, 2005The Guardian
One year after his re-election President Bush governs from a bunker. "We go forward with complete confidence," he proclaimed in his second inaugural address. He urged "our youngest citizens" to see the future "in the determined faces of our soldiers", to choose between "evil" and "courage". But as he listened that day, Vice-President Dick Cheney knew the election had been secured by a cover-up.
"I would have wished nothing better," declared Patrick Fitzgerald in his press conference of October 28 announcing the indictment of I Lewis "Scooter" Libby, the vice-president's chief of staff, "that, when the subpoenas were issued in August 2004, witnesses testified then, and we would have been here in October 2004 instead of October 2005. No one would have went to jail."

The indictment documents that Cheney confirmed the identity of Valerie Plame to him. The indictment also describes a figure called "Official A", subsequently disclosed to be Karl Rove, the president's chief political adviser, who informed Libby that he had told the conservative columnist Robert Novak of Plame's status. The next day Libby conferred with Cheney on how to handle the matter; that very day, Libby revealed Plame's identity to two reporters. Then Libby falsely testified that he had learned Plame's name from reporters.
On September 30 2003 President Bush emphatically stated that he wanted anyone in his administration with information about the Plame leak to "come forward". On June 10 2004 he pledged that anyone on his staff who leaked Plame's name would be fired.
When the Libby indictment was announced, Bush and Cheney praised him as a fine public servant. Still under investigation, Rove remains in the West Wing. But Cheney knew during the presidential campaign that he had discussed with Libby how to deal with Plame. Now Bush knows that Rove had enabled Robert Novak to publish her identity. But the president's promise to fire officials is suddenly inoperative.
Libby's alleged cover-up was undertaken in the spirit of neoconservative Leninism. Any tactic is rationalised by the vanguard, which sets all policy and uses the party as its instrument. If he had testified truthfully in October 2004 the result would have consumed the final days of the campaign. His Leninist logic permitted him to protect the Republican cause, but he has tainted Bush's victory in history.
Bush took his 2004 win as a resounding mandate for a rightwing agenda. With each right turn, however, his popularity declined. Iraq acted as an accelerator of his fall. His nomination of Harriet Miers for the supreme court was an acknowledgement of his sharply narrowed political space. While the Republican masses supported him, the Leninist right staged a revolt. In Bush's cronyism and opportunism they saw his deviation. With the prosecutor's indictment imminent, Bush withdrew Miers. Broadly unpopular, he could not suffer a split right. His new nominee, federal judge Samuel Alito, a reliable sectarian, is a tribute to his bunker strategy.
Hostage to his failed fortune, Bush is a prisoner of the right. His administration has become its own republic of fear. Libby's trial will reveal the administration's political methods. Cheney, along with a host of others, will be called to testify. Whatever other calamities may befall Bush, their spectre harries him to the right. "Disunity, dissolution and vacillation" are hallmarks of "the path of conciliation", as Lenin wrote in What is to be Done. The vanguard on "the path of struggle" criticised for being "an exclusive group," must oppose any retreat proposed by the "opportunist rearguard". "We are surrounded on all sides by enemies, and we have to advance almost constantly under their fire."

[FairfieldLife] Re: More on Diksha

2005-11-12 Thread Robert Gimbel
Recently, I was visiting Oregon, and noticed a couple of guys,
Standing at a certain spot, on a cliff, overlooking the ocean.
They were both getting ready to jump off that cliff;
With hang-gliders, desiring to sail on the breezes;
Which appeared to be blowing gently, 300 feet above the ocean, below.
Each waited; It was fairly quiet day;
Hardly any wind was blowing...
Only a slight breeze was enough, with all that volumn and expansion;
Of air, a vast horizon, and a very high cliff;
Only a faint hint of a breeze was necessary;
To sail unabated freely, and effortlessly.

LB, your last post in this thread was truncated, so I

understand MIU's reluctance to hand over the raw data
for reasons that have nothing to do with this
discourse. All movement research is for one purpose
only: to promote the teaching of TM/TM-Siddhis. It's
for PR only. Those in charge, MMY, aren't interested
in developing a coherent theory of the field effects
of consciousness. They just want to sell TM. The MIU
researchers won't hand over the raw data because the
ME is very weak, almost noise, not pattern. It can
easily be shown not to exist using alternative, and
more traditional, statistical methods used in this
  type of research.

You may be correct, but your evidence of this is...?

Wake Up and smell the Raja's Cup. It's been in front of us all
the

  How could we miss it?

And if Vaj says there's been evidence in front of

Say, Vaj, when are you going to get around to giving

that link Do nothing and accomplish everything to
  get-rich-quick schemes?

Right after you deposit the 175 dollars an hour research fee into
my
PayPay account. A two hour retainer should be sufficient.

Really, anyone who spent time in the movement and had NOT come
across
people trying to hatch get-rich-quick schemes, just hasn't been
around.

I can't tell you how many schemes and dreams I saw Gary Osterlund
and
Jack Normand try to hatch. Jack even started a course on it and
got
us to attend his seminar. He thought he was enlightened at the time.

And they were convinced that enlightenment and wealth went hand in
hand.

If you're a householder, why wouldn't it be that way? ENlightenment
should mean (in my understanding) that your dharma is in harmony with
your lifestyle, and for a householder, comfort, wealth (to some
extent), and other signs of relative success should be obvious.

THat doesn't mean that the wealthy should be enlightened, but that
someone who is enlightened within the householder tradition should
be well off at least...

I found Mac programming a pain in the butt) and many musicians are
too
flaky to handle anything more complicated than a Mac. :) Even the

I use Cakewalk's Sonar myself but mainly for MIDI and also have

Ben has given some good recommendations for Windows programs.
Audacity
is good but a little slow compared to some of the commercial

Cool Edit which was an affordable editor was bought by Adobe which
turned it into a multi-channel package and priced much higher.

 Good luck with your recordings!

If you already have a PC, and don't want to spend money on getting a
Mac, obviously a Mac isn't part of the answer.

However, Garageband and its big brothers (Logic Express and Logic

with every new Mac. The upgrade to the latest version of Garageband
is part of the iLife suite for $79. That's the latest versions of
iMovie HD, iDVD, iTune, iPhoto and Garageband.

They integrate quite well, also, which is why they're sold as a suite
of upgrades.

BTW, Mac programming in MacOS X is very kool. John Carmack of id
Software used the original version to create Doom. Tim Berners-Lee
used it to create thefirst web-browser. A version of the Mac
development software is bundled with every new Mac and the latest

Gee, Sal, even with Do less... this doesn't
qualify; it's not a get-rich-quick scheme at
all but a $27.95 (Canadian) book on time
management.

But then I remembered you were talking about Do
nothing and accomplish everything + get rich quick (I thought it
didn't look right the second time.) So here's that one--it's the
 original one I found:

 http://www.attracting-prosperity.com/powerful-sleep.html

This is the book by TM teacher Fred Gratzon I
described when I first checked out Vaj's claim
on the Web. Sorry, but it isn't a get-rich-quick
scheme either.

Here's one testimonial that describes it:

-
Having read the Lazy Way to Success, I feel my definition of achiving
success has changed quite dramatically. I feel that book has made me
think differently about my approach to work. Today, I think that to
have fun at work, to be passionate about what I do, and to carefully
think before I do, is more important than having my nose to the
grindstone.

I would recommend this book to anyone who wishes to achieve success
in life and despite the title of this book, is willing to work at it,
of course in the right way. The book emphasises approach over sheer
hard work. The book makes one think about one's priorities in life.
The book has transformed my daily routine – in fact I no longer go to
work – for the sake of work. I go to the office to bring value to the
lives of my co-workers, to help them find their true calling in life.
The book is a noble journey – a pilgrimage to success.
--

The book appears to be more about *fulfillment*
than monetary success per se, and it certainly
isn't a get-rich-quick scheme of the type Vaj
has been talking about.

So he must have had some other Web sites in mind.

Or not, as the case may be.

[FairfieldLife] An international government conspiracy? Yep.

2005-11-12 Thread sparaig
http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com is one of my favorite websites. Josh
Marshall has been tracking the Plame CIA-outing issue since it first
started and has done quite a bit of investigative reporting concerning
it. He's been publishing a series of online articles and commentaries
on just how far-reaching the background issue (the forged Niger
documents that prompted AmbassadorWilson's trip to Niger) really is. It
has tentacles reaching into the highest levels of both the US and
Italian governments. It's not just about bad intel, or political
payback - it was a genuine international conspiracy to take us (the
entire world) into war, though he doesn't put in it those terms.

Here's his latest comment:

http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com

(November 11, 2005 -- 12:17 PM EDT)

Very interesting news out of Italy this morning, and news which
appears to confirm a theory advanced recently by a poster at
theleftcoaster.com (big coup for him, about which I'll explain more
later). As you know, I've reported that the second report from
Italian intelligence to the CIA about the Niger-Iraq story, the
report in February of 2002, was a text transcription of what would
later turn out to be one of the forged documents.

But there's one more small detail, reported this morning in La
Repubblica. The report sent over from Italy removed the out-of-date
names (one of the key reasons they were spotted later as forgeries)
and replaced them with the correct names. In other words, there seems
to have been a conscious effort to cover up the fact that the
documents were bogus, to clean them up, as it were.

This raises a number of questions, which I'll try to address in a
subsequent post. I'm running between meetings this morning. But for
now one more detail.

La Repubblica has confirmed that three days after SISMI sent its
original report to the CIA on October 15th, 2001, Nicolo Pollari
himself followed up with another report on October 18th. This follow-
up was in response to a CIA query about the quality of the sourcing
behind the report on the 15th.

Pollari told the CIA that the report was quite credible and that the
information originated with a woman working for SISMI in the Niger
Embassy in Rome.

More soon on what this all means.

[FairfieldLife] 2012 - Is Something Big Coming?

2005-11-12 Thread Blue Star

From: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/circle2012dreams/

A.D. 2012
Is Something Big Coming?

"A birthing planet vibrating at a lower tone than evolving Earth is preparing itself to receive beings who prefer to embrace greed and power, those who desire to control, possess and destroy that which is not rightfully theirs. The awaiting planet is far from Earth, but it is not altogether unlike Earth."
Arcturian Songs of the Masters of LightPatricia L. Pereira

There have been many prophesies for us to think about over the ages. Some have materialized while others have not.
All prophecy is fluid and changeable. The future is not set in stone. The reason is simple. We create our own reality through our collective thinking (mass consciousness). What a prophet "sees" is one of the probable outcomes of our future. If we don't like what the prophet has to say, we have the power to change it.
Cosmic cycles are nothing new to our ancestors and are a part of the lore and history of many ancient civilizations. For example, the Mayans studied them with a passion and they formed the basis of their sky religion.
This is also the end of the 2160-year Age of Pisces, the beginning of Aquarius, the close of the Mesoamerican fifth world and the ending of the Kali Yuga of the Hindus. The sacred scriptures of the Indian Vedas describe cycles of creation spanning millions of years in the past including civilizations that flourished and those that decayed and perished.
The momentous crossroads in cosmic time we are fast approaching at 2012 has been prophesized by the Hopis, the Mayans, the Aztecs and many others. Some of that information is briefly summarized below.
In addition, I've also excerpted below fifteen different sources channeled transmissions that I take seriously. All are saying the same basic thing. And I find it hard to ignore.
Here is the information that has influenced my thinking...

Interesting stuff, but as I read it I realized that in order to give
it credence, I have to buy into the idea that we on Earth have
somehow lost our way, and a great cataclysmic cleansing is due. And
I don't buy it. Aside from the news organizations primarily focusing
on failures and conflicts, the world is not in such a bad state.

Does this mean we should not continue to be responsible stewards of
this planet? Yes, and that challenges in that regard are pretty much
continuous, due to the speed of life our technologies have brought
about.

But I for one don't buy into the idea that we are all headed to hell
in a hand basket, so to speak. Rather I ascribe that mindset to
those that project a negative inner awareness, outwards.

Balance, vigilance and responsibility are all important traits to
develop for ourselves, and our world. Let us keep our attention on
that, vs. fearing for tomorrow.

The way I heard the story, it was the Shankaracharya, or the guy MMY was
propping up as the Shankaracharya (I can't begin to keep the details of that
whole mess straight) who suggested to MMY, during a quick trip to India
during the Fiuggi course, that he offer something more to the Westerners. So
Maharishi pulled out a copy of the Yoga Sutras and began experimenting on
half a dozen of the M-group types around him (I got this account from one of
them). The sidhis didn't come out until 1977. The 1% effect came out when
Domash was reigning physicist in 1974. There was a campaign in the UK in
which one of the slogans was you can be one of the 99 if you can get one of
your friends to be the one. Square root of 1% came out soon after the
sidhis, and Domash or Hagelin was physicist at that point. It was still
Domash until about 1980. Anyway, I think the theory preceded the research.
In other words, the theory of 1% or square root of 1% was bandied about
before any societal testing was done. And Maharishi spent countless hours
discussing this and lecturing about it. It's not like it was foisted on him
by cunning physicists. As always, he was calling the shots. He was tickled
pink to get a theory that would absolve him from having to get 10% of the
world's population meditating, or even 1%. Anyway, I don't think this
particular point has much to do with the failure of the movement. Although
the advent of the sidhis sure scared off a lot of respectable folks who were
beginning to take it seriously.

Might as wellthey bow down to the 'research'!!! Research has
become God! We know God because of the research, don't cha know, not
because we experience him! And Maharishi, himself, has become Hagelins
chela/desciple! Jai Guru Hagelin, Jai Guru Hagelin..

As Charlie use to say, Christ was a 'trouble shooter' of sorts. He came
to remove a roadblock in evolution (and took on the sins of
the 'World'). But for most of use, we still have to go through the
school of karma and learn the lessons of life, the sign is nothing but
wishful thinking...Hey, hey Shemp!!!

[FairfieldLife] instead of Vedaland ... Nature is Supporting this ...

2005-11-12 Thread Brahman
The newly opened AksharDham Temple in New Delhi, is truly a wonder and
expects to be India's number one religious tourist destination. It
only cost 40 million US dollars to build!

Maharishi had a similar, good idea called Vedaland, but as usual, that
was just all talk and no manifesting. Of course, nature abhors a
vacuum, and so this other Hindu sect (BAPS) got the job done. So, no
need to be disappointed any longer, Nature has taken care of things,
even without the TMO!

see overview news article at:
   http://www.hinduismtoday.com/hpi/2005/11/12.shtml#1

see amazing pics inside the new temple, at their website:

lots of pics all over, be sure to click the links!

Why are you attributing ownership or authorship of the Sidhi
 program to
Hagelin? Hagelin wasn't a major player in the movement when
 Maharishi came

I'm implying that MMY has swallowed Hagelin's research as 'proof'!
I
think the jury is still out as to the relative numbers required to
create such an effect. I realize that it was at the suggestion
of 'another' yogi (apparently) that MMY came out with this totally
premature yogic flying, etc. MMY really thinks you only need the
square root of 1% of the population (yada, yada) to shift trends in
the world...BASED ON HAGELIN'S RESEARCH! Who's the Yogi and who's
the
chela now??? Hummm, think about it, it explains everything!

Heh. Hagelin was the LAST researcher onthe ME not the first.
